   Because this is a pricey venue, we only go for special occasions. But Paula's never disappoints! Food was very good although it is very expensive and you have to be prepared for that. The lobster was delicious in the VDay special, but I struggled as it was stuck in the shell. Swordfish, crab cake,creme brulee, and key lime pie were outstanding as was Cesar salad. Server (Jonah/Josh?) was also excellent. As always 5 stars at Paula's!

   Wonderful service + outstanding dishes. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and they sat us right away. Our waitress was super sweet, knowledgeable of the menu, + on top of all of our needs. The food from start to finish was overwhelmingly good. Fresh warm sourdough bread, fresh salads, and our main dishes were full of flavor + large portions. So happy we celebrated our 5 year anniversary here! We will be back for sure (:

   As always, the best seafood around! Never disappoints. Service was great - friendly , caring and pleasant by our server and also several check ins by the manager. Love the ambiance ! Always a special treat when we are able to dine at Paula's.

   Food and service was great. Chase was very attentive in making sure to check in with us often. Only bad part of the experience was we were sat a a very small two person table by the upstairs railing. Not enough room for our plates and drinks, let alone any side dishes. Our waiter pulled up an extra chair to put items on because there wasn’t enough room on the table for our meals. Very loud because we were sat by the open railing and had both the noise from the room we were in upstairs, and also the noise from the downstairs area. Value of food was good for most dishes, however $158 for one dish was more than excessive. Overall it was a good experience and I would highly recommend.

   Unfortunately, the change in ownership is evident in the food. The fried oysters used to be huge, they were a highlight of the meal. These were small and mostly over fried breading. Same experience with other items like the calamari and swordfish. We overheard another table say that the salmon wasn’t the same as it used to be. It appears new ownership is cutting food costs (aka quality) but charging the same prices. Manager gaslight & said she hadn’t heard any negative feedback from guests since the ownership change. We’ve been coming here for years, it was laughable to pretend the quality was not different. New Paula’s won’t be around for long if they keep this up.

    Chase was an excellent server. The red Monty martini was good (x2). Fish tacos are always a solid choice. Clam chowder might be the best in town.
