Park Tavern Neighborhood Bar & Brewery is located in the heart of midtown on the corner of 10th St. & Monroe overlooking Piedmont Park and the midtown skyline. Park Tavern rejuvenated its restaurant and menu for the 2019 summer season. Our building was originally built in 1905 as horse stables for local racing enthusiasts and then transformed into a golf clubhouse in 1928. Although expanded and renovated over the years, the building still features some of the original woodwork and stone from the historic clubhouse. Today Park Tavern combines the historic charm of the site with the modern sophistication of Atlanta’s impressive skyline. The restaurant features handcrafted beers brewed on-site as well as spectacular patio dining overlooking the park and city. The menu features classic favorites such as burgers, salads, and sandwiches.

I was not expecting cafeteria style dining at all. The food was bland and unappetizing. I had heard such great things about the restaurant so I was very disappointed.

Awful experience. No wait staff. Food was horrible (cold French fries!) and overpriced. NOT the same Park Tavern I’d visited before. Such a shame. Given the location, this could be a really special place with the right management and chef.

Worst experience ever. Reservations mean NOTHING here. Not sure why they are even on OpenTable. OpenTable should ban them if they are not going to honor the reservations. They don’t even have a host/hostess, not a single server, and only ONE poor bus boy for the entire restaurant. The bartenders are more interested in socializing than serving drinks and the ice skating rental staff is down right rude. $20 for a crappy tiny rink with a bunch of bully punk kids on it. My kids had a terrible time. You have to walk to the bar to place an order for anything and then walk a country mile to pick up the food. No plates, napkins, utensils etc. At a certain point, why even bother owning a restaurant if you care so little for the customers? Talk about doing only the bare minimum. You’re better on serving yourself at home than paying for the overpriced crappy drinks and food here and having to serve yourself. Also, they serve only pepsi products. I mean come on- you’re in the middle of Atlanta! Save yourself the heartache. There are much better options.

The food was not good and basic. Great place far as atmosphere with a lot of TVs. Service was so mild and drinks are just ok.

Terrible from start to finish. Inattentive host, inattentive bar staff, inattentive manager. The only saving grace was the smaller bar, who were still learning how to make martinis. The big bar had everyone on their phones and didn’t seem to care. The guys at the food pick up station were on it. Refreshing to have someone act like they enjoyed their job. The biggest problem. Why make a reservation? There are 30 people on staff and pretty much everything is on a fend for yourself vibe. You order from the bar, carry your own drinks and then pick up your food from another location in a completely different area. It’s a mess. Upon arrival the “host” said sit where ever. That was it. No direction at all. The place is massive. We went into a dining room, the owner or manager offered no direction as we clumsily arranged tables to accommodate our group. He was the only one sitting in the dining area in his laptop.

We apologize that you don't like our fast casual design. We don't have servers so we are much more efficient in our food service and all drinks are ready on demand. We have 10 points of access to order food and beverage. It was obviously slow when you came and you can sit anywhere from inside dining to cabanas to outside under tents. The benefit to fast-casual is food is prepared and the guest notified immediately. When you and your group are ready to leave, no searching for a server and trying to split checks and waiting to process cards, no looking at checks of who had what and what was charged. All this is gone, when your ready to leave, you leave. As to open table, we only accept reservations for 25% of our total seating capacity so when we do fill up, you are guaranteed a table.

I was here recently with a group of 60 for lunch. The food was nothing short of camping quality. Slop in self serve buffet style. At $76 without drinks etc it was an expensive afternoon. We went out for a late lunch afterwards as the food here was so disappointing. I won't be returning. In response to the managers lies and threats. Actually I was early. I was one of the greeters. I have a credit card bill from the bar and I was the first to order anything. They opened the first champagne for me. I will submit this to the radio station and Clark Howard unless you amend your comments. The two ladies who arrived late were taken by me to another restaurant and then the airport. I also have the credit card receipts for this. At no point did I ever contact anyone for a refund nor would I. I tipped your server very well and a generous tip was also included in the package. Actually you charged a % tip on the tax which is highly immoral. Do better. Stop threatening customers.

After research: You were an attendee of a luncheon that you paid to attend. The luncheon was from 12pm to 3 pm. You showed up at 2:45 and demanded lunch after all culinary staff had gone home and buffet was closed an hour prior. You ate nothing here so comments here about the service and food are false. You want your money back for an event you didn't pay us. We have repeatedly told you to ask your money back from the people you paid. Your answer is to unjustly threaten and harass us. DO BETTER!

Absolutely horrific is how I would describe my experience with Park Tavern. I used Open Table to book a reservation after looking at PT's website and menu. This was for a special family night that included dinner and tickets to the Botanical Gardens. When we arrived there was no one to greet us, when we went to the bar to inquire about our reservation (after getting blasted by a cloud of weed) we were told, "Ya- I don't know why they do that- it's just seat yourself, serve yourself". Disappointed we sat ourselves and ordered from the online menu. Ordered at 6:32- response was food would be ready at 7:10. We left at 7:20 for our 7:30 Botanical Gardens reservation with NO FOOD! Got a text at 7:50 that our food was ready. We were long gone but an hour and twenty minutes for wings and queso? Completely disappointing - felt totally misled by the website. The pandemic was 3 years ago- why do we still have NO staff?? Two big thumbs down!

I don't know why Open Table is set up to take reservations. There was NO TABLE SERVICE. You needed to order at an outside bar and pick up your food at the inside bar on a tray. Not what I recalled about this restaurant. It's been many years since I’ve eaten there. Is it under new management? The indoor seating area was empty and devoid of ambiance.

A great family atmosphere, kids ice skating, while the adults get to watch football eat and drink…. Plenty of seating, Christmas decor and even fire pits around to make smores
