   We three had pasta dishes, the honey nut squash gnudi, lamb tagliatellle and the squid ink spaghetti. All three dishes were excellent. The bartender makes an excellent Manhattan. The Host and server were most pleasant. Hadn't been there in a while and I look forward to going back.

   Ordered my meal and waitress came back and said they were out, so I ordered a burger. It tasted like cardboard. Not one of the 5 people said write about their for. And everyone had something different. One of our friends didn’t even eat half of her order. Never got water or ice tea served a second time. The servers were so ready to leave and close up. Won’t recommend or go back. Not for the price.

   Angel Franco and his team in the kitchen have boosted the food quality at Palace Prime to the highest echelon to synchronize with the top-shelf service, embracing ambience and adventuresome wine list which have prevailed under the current ownership group.

   A mixed review. The wine list is quite good and the service was also attentive, both from the sommelier and the waitstaff. The hamachi crudo appetizer was excellent, if small (to be expected from that sort of appetizer. My crab cake (for $27) was quite good but for that much money, I'm expecting something phenomenal. The main dishes were small for the price. (We lived in Manhattan and Paris for years so we are not looking for huge portions necessarily.) I had the lamb ragù and merguez fettuccine dish. Very little meat. I love merguez sausage and was looking forward to actual chunks of sausage. That said, it was tasty. My husband had the deboned whole branzino. Tasty enough but actually had a number of very small bones which were so small that they were hard to deal with and he ended up having to pick food out of his mouth in order to deal with the bones.

    Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and this place didn't disappoint on our visit tonite. Our hostess seated us and we were promptly met by the sommelier with a wine list---nice touch with some recommendations. We were mostly cocktail drinkers...call and premium Manhattans and Old Fashioneds (very well done) and one lone wine drinker---Ken Wright Pinot Noir was a good tried and true Pinot that went with most anything. Server was super knowledgeable of the menu and the food entrée preparations--did not miss a beat! We all had apps or salads...butternut squash bisque, Caesar, and a serving of liver mousse. Very nice preps and excellent flavor. For entrees we ordered the swordfish, Cassoulet, the Chicken Quarter and Squid ink pasta. Eclectic with tons of flavor, cool presentations---all great choices. Skipping a second cocktail, everyone decided to order 2 desserts...the Chess Pie and the chocolate mousse cake with salted caramel ice cream. Once again, flavorful and well executed...totally on point from the kitchen tonite! Great job from service to food...we will be back celebrating a special occasion and are looking forward to the new Spring menu!
