Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Palace Café offers a captivating New Orleans dining experience with "life altering" crabmeat cheesecake and "extraordinary" service. The Sunday Jazz Brunch is a standout, featuring a "festive ambiance." While some dishes and service may be inconsistent, the jazz band and delicious Bananas Foster enhance the vibrant atmosphere, creating a memorable visit.

They were super busy, waiter was super sweet and attentive but had too many tables, super nice manager/float person, but it was extremely loud, and food was just a bit overpriced for the value and quality and taste.

Second time of going to the palace cafe in the last two weeks. What can I say food was excellent same as the staff. Thought the price was excessive on first visit until tried other restaurants found that at the moment the USA inflation has gone through the roof. Best restaurant me and my wife tried would recommend

Had lunch the other day at Palace Café. The staff was prompt and courteous with our seating and menu selections. My Pecan catfish was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Loved the popcorn rice and string beans to offset the richness of the meunière sauce. We asked for and were seated near a window. Nice restaurant with diverse menu.

Jorge, saved the evening to celebrate in New Orleans, my wife’s birthday on our last night after a week. It was obvious our waiter was either overwhelmed, didn’t care, or didn’t think we were with his time. I was prepared to reach out to ownership through a mutual friend it was that obnoxiously bad as far as service. Jorge came by to check on us and we politely explained the events that meals arrived on the heals of appetizers without second course of soups even arriving. The 30 minutes plus of not being checked on or dinner service not being removed. Jorge apologized for the situation took full control. Made sure that the last third of our experience was over the top. Again, Jorge saved the night. Unfortunately for our waiter I typically tip 35%-40% as I know these people get shorted for their efforts. The lack of effort resulted in an industry standard tip of 20%. Because of Jorge and the waiter did take and bring our drink order. Jorge demonstrated excellent customer service.
