   I had a wonderful experience at Pai Uptown with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. The service was exceptional—our server was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. We ordered the Pad See Ew and Panang Curry, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and the flavors were rich and intense. Actually, delicious doesn't even describe it. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

   Everything was good but unfortunately, what I wanted and what a friend wanted they did not have. As well, a cider that was on the menu they did not have either.

   I had a mixed experience with this restaurant. I had heard a lot of good things about Pai and I knew my son was excited to try it so we booked one of the last available slots for that evening. Our reservation was for 8:30 but we only got seated at around 8:50pm and didn’t get attended to until 9:00. The front of the house consisted of one very stressed-looking individual who was running up and down the stairs trying to seat people with similar reservation times, one even earlier than ours. We ordered quickly since a significant time had passed only to be told that many of the dishes were sold out for the evening (specifically about four of the appetizers - though they were able to accommodate one of the appetizers that we had requested). A few moments later, we were told it was last call for orders so we were asked if we wanted dessert albeit there were only two of the five options left available so we ordered one of the desserts. The appetizer and salad we ordered came out quickly and they were delicious. However, it took a very long time for the mains and we had noticed that an adjacent table was being served with their dishes before us even though they were seated even later than us. We found out that the servers had accidentally served them one of our dishes and they were hurriedly making another dish for us. The other two mains we ordered were served but I think the kitchen had intended to serve all three together so when we got the first two mains finally, they were lukewarm albeit still delicious. In particular, I would highly recommended the Khao Soi and the Panang curry. Our server was very gracious and professional and management did apologize for the delays so they did hold themselves accountable. That said, I do think service needs tightening in their efficiency. Is this the best Thai in the city?…I have to say that I have had just as good if not better and certainly much better service elsewhere.

   The flavors at Pai are truly remarkable, and the presentation of the dishes is excellent. However, we were a bit disappointed with the scarcity of meat in some of the dishes, especially since the shrimp portions were perfect, which left us a little confused. While our waiter was very kind, he seemed to have quite a few tables to manage, and we found ourselves looking for him several times throughout the night. Despite plenty of staff walking around, many appeared to be wandering aimlessly, which impacted our overall experience. That said, the delicious flavors and thoughtful presentation of the food were definite highlights of our visit

   Today the service was not very good. I would give it one star. I spilled water the server didn’t wipe the table/mop the floor nor asked someone too. She was also not smart enough to give me extra napkins. She didn’t clear the dishes when we were finished. I understand she was busy. pai is always busy. I asked for extra sauce and she didn’t tell us there was extra charge.
