   Excellent authentic Italian food. Also, great wine selection. Service very good and friendly. The only negative was the 'nickel and diming' mentioned in other reviews. The ' nickel' was $5 for the small glasses of ice and tap water.

   A quiet Tuesday and rainy night was topped by a stop into this wonderful restaurant. Recommended by a local Chicagoan, the food and wine was top notch.

   It would not be a complete Chicago visit if we didn’t dine here. Wonderful dining experience and top notch service as always. I recommended this restaurant to a family member for her visit with friends and they also shared the same sentiment.

   I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. First, I mistakenly ordered the beef tartare, thinking it was tagliata. There was no clear warning on the menu indicating that the dish was raw meat, which should be standard practice for food safety. I stopped eating after two bites. Second, the menu did not include prices, which made me uncomfortable. I should have asked, but I was shocked when the final bill came—it was far more expensive than expected. Third, the food was overly salty and not enjoyable. But what bothered me the most was the billing: they automatically added a 20% service charge, and then asked me to add an additional tip, without clarifying that the service charge was already included. Feeling unsure and pressured, I ended up tipping another 20%, bringing the total to $180—for one glass of wine, beef tartare, and osso bucco. This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve had in the U.S. I truly regret choosing this restaurant and would not recommend it to others, especially tourists.

    Had dinner there with friends after a show. Food was terrific. Fourth time we've been there, and have never been disappointed. Uniformly excellent.
