   Beautiful on the inside, great drinks. Food was quite unseasoned for its quality, otherwise it was good. Service was slow considering the time when we went the restaurant was not busy, I had high expectations unfortunately they were not met.

   I don’t usually write reviews but this was horrible. The sea bass special was a piece of fried fish on a huge bowl of soft mushy polenta. It tasted like an oily fish stick.

   My friend and I went to Olives and I for dinner and the Halloween costume party. Dinner was great! My friend loved her salmon over risotto. I was sad that they were out of pumpkin ravioli, but the carbonara dish (minus the egg) was delicious. The drinks were good. We didn't stay for very long at the costume party as we both had to get up early the next day. It was fun seeing folks dress up though. Thank you for a memorable evening.

   I had an incredible birthday dinner at this restaurant! From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive and kind. The ambiance was perfect for celebrating, and the food was delicious. They even surprised me with a complimentary dessert, which was a lovely gesture. I can't recommend this place enough for a special occasion. Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable! 5 stars!

   It is a very professional staff, and we were very impressed with everyone who waited on us from the bartenders to the hostess to our servers in the back waiters. The menu selection is very good. We were disappointed in the bruschetta, which was not like bruschetta at all, but the eggplant chips and the Cacio di Pepe were excellent. The portions are also generous.

   The BEST food! Went here with my boyfriend for his 21st for the first time and it was great! the service is friendly, the food came out quick, and you can tell it is authentic! will be coming back here!

    My friends and I went to Olives & Oil for dinner during New Haven's Restaurant Week. The staff were wonderful! There was a photoshoot happening that concerned a couple of us (they did not want to photographed) but it turned the photographer was focusing on the bar and not the seating area. The service was a little slow since it did not seem that busy at the time. I received my drink (a cocktail) well after everyone else did (they ordered beers or wine). It took a while for our food to start coming. The portion sizes for the appetizers and entrees were generous and the food was delicious! One of my friends got a similar dish than what she ordered. Happily, she staff rectified the situation without any issues. Overall, we had a pleasant evening. We had delicious food, good drinks, and wonderful conversation! I would recommend the restaurant for dinner, lunch, or happy hour.
