Founded by sibling duo Chef Philip Pretty and Lauren Pretty, Olive & Rose is a culinary destination born from their shared passion for exceptional food and genuine hospitality. We'v reimagined the dining experience as a neo-bistro, where classic French techniques with a twist meet vibrant flavors that are unmistakably Californian. Each dish tells a story of flavor, texture, and creativity—a reflection of Chef Philip Pretty’s entire culinary career.
From sourcing local, seasonal ingredients to minimizing food waste and reducing our environmental footprint, we’re proud to continue the sustainable dining legacy of our sister restaurant, Heritage, by incorporating green certified and green Michelin star practices into our operations.

Our dining area is a covered patio, please dress accordingly.

Delightful experience at Olive and Rose! Lovely renovated space, innovative cocktails, well prepared appetizers and main courses. Sitting at the bar provides a front row seat to the chefs at work. Staff were knowledgeable and professional. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

I couldn't pick a favorite because each dish was perfectly executed with high quality ingredients: Endive with Dates and Humboldt Fog, Octopus with Potato and Pimento, Halibut with Gold Risotto, snap Pea and Truffle Cream. I loved the casual yet sophisticated vibe and the attentive but not intrusive service. Can't wait to return!

Food was beautiful and delicious. Service was exceptional - all of the waitstaff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They provided just the right amount of service (keeping waters filled, replacing flatware) without being intrusive. The noise level was quite loud and it was difficult to hear one another across the table - the room could use some soft surfaces to help control the din.

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled to write about the seriously delicious meal we had at Olive & Rose. From the delicious sourdough bread and cultured butter, to the divine pork chop, succulent chicken and too good to be true halibut with a risotto that was out of this world. Then ending with the most magnificent chocolate cake/mousse and apple tartine. This meal was unforgettable and I highly recommended dining here.

Had a nice lunch at Olive & Rose. Ordered the mussels, lobster salad, and fish sandwich. Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was great. Will definitely be back for dinner.

Super intimate environment, very mid century. The wait staff is very well versed on the menu and is great with custom tailoring your dining experience. Excellent cocktails and well made incredible quality food.

Amazing food! The octopus salad was bright and delicious! The tostada brought some perfect heat with the sweet chili drizzle and key lime pie with the Italian meringue was a great finish!

I went with my boyfriend for our anniversary. The food was all amazing ! Also the restaurant is such a nice vibe. They were very sweet and brought us a little champagne taster because of the occasion. 10/10. Need to go back and try more on the menu for sure!
