Equal parts rustic and refined, Old 290 Brewery & Restaurant combines Hill Country craft beer with hearty, Texas-inspired cuisine. Our gastropub style restaurant emphasizes fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, along with our craft beer and our award-winning wines from Carter Creek Winery. Our Old 290 Brewery is also open for weekend breakfast and casual menu options. Hours vary for the smokehouse and restaurant.

We sat out on the patio with our dog. We ordered the pork belly sliders and the hellraiser French dip. They were both excellent. The pork belly was nice and rendered. The ribeye on the French dip melted in your mouth and the salad that came with it was very very good.

Wonderful dining experience. We had the best server named Adam who gave us exceptional service. He was very friendly and was very attentive. The food was delicious, even though there was a limited menu due to being short staffed in the kitchen, we still enjoyed our meal, and the live music was a nice bonus.

While the food was good and the service attentive, we were greeted with a restricted menu that only had two main dishes, none of which we had interest in ordering. According to the server, their instructions come from California and take too long to know about changes for them to act on anything (??) . As a courtesy to customers coming for an overnight stay, it would be welcomed to know prior to entering the restaurant and/or before making reservations, that the restaurant will be operating under a severely limited menu. Use social media, place a board outside; just let people know in advance.

This was my first experience here. The food was amazing and both beer and wine were great. The service was wonderful with happy people. I will definitely come again. Price was moderate but great value for the quality.

When I made the reservations it asked if there was any special occasion and I mentioned that it was our anniversary and there was nothing done to acknowledge that.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the brewery and in the tasting room. Thank you to Adam for taking great care of us at the restaurant and to Roseanne at the tasting room. We became wine club members and look forward to returning quarterly.
