   Came to Okto as we are big fans of Doris Metropolitan and we were intrigued by menu and location. We love Doris’ food and amazing service and were looking forward to another great dining experiece. We were a group of 6 on a business Dinner. The dining room is nice and presentation looks great. Food was delicious and did not disappoint. The drinks were meh, with G&T’s watery and disappointing. The biggest problem however was the service. While the restaurant was mostly empty on a Monday evening , the service was slow and unimpressive. It took 10 minutes after being seated for our waiter to come offer us a drink. It then took 15 extra minutes or more to be able to order food/appys. It got a bit better at the end but still left much to be desired. The food is pretty much up to par with Doris Metropolitan, with my colleagues from NYC really happy about discovering another restaurant by the same ownership group. The service however is as unimpressive as it is at Hamsa. Overall had a good experience but i would be concerned about dining there on a busy weekend night.

   My go-to spot in Houston! This restaurant/bar truly excels in every aspect. Impeccable service, delicious food, balanced drinks, and meticulous attention to detail. Special shoutout to Ana for making every visit exceptional!

   Food was great, which is no surprise. Service was awesome as well. We could have had a better table but truly a delightful meal.

   Food was great but music was too loud. This new trend of not being able to order a few appetizers first before main courses is annoying considering the price we’re paying.

   The food was expectacular. By far some of the best food in Houston. Not to mention the service was phenomenal. Would definitely come back again.

   This was my second happy hour experience at this delightful new restaurant. Last time we sat outside, but last night was a little cool, so we sat indoors by the window. The decor is lovely and it’s one of the best outdoor patios in Houston. Elonn was our server both times and he is attentive, knowledgeable, and charming, and he is backed up by an equally attentive team. The octopus was tender and served with a very tasty sauce. The Moroccan bread was absolutely unique and delicious with chive butter, olives, and roasted peppers. The steak frites kebab was tender and delicious and cooked perfectly medium rare as requested, and the potatoes were hot and crispy. $10 happy hour cocktails and wine were great values. A dollop of lemon sorbet in the shape of a lemon was a nice ending!

   We enjoyed another great dinner with a friend at Októ. One of us had a martini, another tried tried the Mezcaluma which he liked. I tried the Shishito G+T, but it had too many small ice cubes which watered it down pretty quickly. Next time I'll ask for less ice. Other than that everything was great. I had a nice prosecco. We had a mix of things from the Happy Hour menu and regular menu. We love the Frena. My friend and I had the greek salad from the HH menu which was delicious. I had the HH tuna tartar which was a nice small size—just what I wanted. The others both had the HH steak frites and enjoyed them. One had the haloumi cheese with olives. It was a perfect light, early dinner. Our service from great from the front door, to our server Austin who was attentive but didn't rush us, to the sommelier. Thanks for another delicious and lovely dinner.
