   Everything about Okan is great! It’s such a fun design and all the staff are helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, served quickly and good value.

   Great food - very authentic and tasty. Not the best service though. We kept having to flag waiting staff but were then rushed off the table as soon as we’d finished eating and still had full drinks, despite having only sat down an hour before. Also not suitable for vegetarians as all the food is cooked on the same grill with the meat and seafood.

   Terrible service. Sat for 30 mins and had to ask to be served. Other customers left because the staff were standing talking among themselves.

   Super nice vibes and really delicious food Recommend it to everyone that wants to travel to Japan for a bit and then come back to reality after. Try the ply wine really liked it. We will go back for sure, super cosy.

   A really lovely atmosphere - nice and chilled. And looking into the kitchen you can see why - the team of women work together calmly, respectfully and intuitively, which obviously bleeds into the restaurant space. Food was really lovely and fantastic value

   Second time to Okan. First time with my wife. We've both been to Japan many times - and this is a genuine slice of Osaka hidden in County Hall - the most unexpected of locations, but oddly perfect. So for her it was special. For anyone who's not travelled to SE Asia then accept that the food is basic and 'streety'. But that's the point. Go for the vibe and the authenticism. The rest is what it is.

    I LOVE Okan. A hidden gem, and really like stepping in to a back street in Tokyo, rather than amongst modern buildings in Waterloo. The food is great - and very authentic - and the team there are great. Special shout out to Aoi and Taka. Will definitely be back!
