   It’s great. Martina is awesome as well as the other waitstaff. My advice is to make sure Toro and other good fish are available there, and not moved to the new location on Preston. Good customers here. Keep up the good work! We love it!

   This is my absolute FAVORITE sushi restaurant in the world. I’m so happy this location opened. I used to have to go to Dallas or Plano. My favorite things to order are spicy edamame, salmon tacos, watermelon/tuna/goat cheese salad, Royce Roll, Flower Roll, & Himalayan Roll. If you are looking for other rolls, Tribeca, Caesar, & M&M are great, too! Also, their flat beef noodles are to die for. You really can’t go wrong. This is our go-to spot for birthdays and special occasions. The sushi is amazing!

   We loved everything about the place…except the salad. That’s not how you make a Japanese salad with ginger dressing. It was doused in dressing to the point of a big soggy bowl of mush. I will go back to the restaurant for sure but will not have the salad. The wait staff service was impressive and she made great recommendations however we waited a little longer than usual for our rolls. Nothing serious but it was noticeable. Ambiance, cleanliness, decor all top notch. Menu extensive.

   Our family loves sushi so we decided to try Oishii. It was some of the best sushi we have ever had and we have been to Japan. We will be back soon!

    Maybe my bar was set too high since there are plenty examples in the DFW area alone where it's difficult to duplicate the original. I found this to be the case with Oishii. The "goods": - service was attentive and nice - atmosphere (visual) was great - parking MUCH easier than the Wycliff location The "bads": - a lot more screaming kids with parents talking (way too loud) baby talk while walking their kids all around the dining area - it IS Grapevine and unfortunately we were seated in a side "party room" with two large groups including many kids / babies - spring rolls: Unmemorable. I've had better at most "hole in wall" (cheap) Vietnamese places - hot and sour: personal preference not to my liking. A bit too "savory" and greasy tasting - Sizzling Crispy Shrimp, Scallops & Whitefish: given that they only had three "signature dishes" you'd think you can't go wrong. While it WAS "sizzling", it was far from "crispy". The breading that pretty much fell off the pieces of seafood onto the not great tasting "goo" sauce was a pile of mush. It's not often I leave a place wishing I had gone somewhere else and/or ordered something else. Unfortunately this was one of those rare times.
