   My wife and I were celebrating a special event and decided to try Odette's. We dropped our car off at the valet who said it would cost $5.00 at the end of the meal. We showed up on time and were shown to our table. We were immediately met by a young man who asked our water preference and filled our glasses and moved on. We looked over the menu and watched a few other customers get seated and waited upon by an attentive young waiter and we were looking around wondering where our waiter was. We watched another table get seated and approached by another waitress. At some point, we had already both finished our water and the waiter I had seen noticed and came and refilled our glasses. After waiting about 15 minutes I walked up to the bar to order some drinks. The bartender was surprised and said she would bring the drinks to our table. After another few minutes a woman approached and said, “Hello ladies.” It was when she saw the look on my face that she flinched. I’m a professional musician and I do have long hair, but also facial hair. She mumbled an apology and introduced herself. We ordered oysters and we both ordered the Perfect Duo. The oysters were delicious, but the shells hadn’t been cleaned properly because we both had pieces of shell in our mouth which was not pleasant. Our meal came and my Medium Rare was Medium and my wife’s medium was medium well. I informed our waitress, but I said we would eat them anyway. I was done at this point and didn’t want to wait for another meal to be prepared. At this point I expected something, anything, an apology, an offer for a drink or dessert, but nothing. I got the bill and I left her a 15% tip. I haven’t left a 15% tip in over 20 years. I usually start at a minimum of 20%. The valet asked for $10 and I told him we were told $5. He then said if you are out by a certain time, it’s $5.00 and we apparently hadn’t made it out by then. Overall a VERY disappointing experience.

   The service here is impeccable. Anthony is a true treasure with a wealth of knowledge and experience and understanding --food was wonderfully prepared and elegantly plated and it all just works ...scallops with sweet potatoes and parsnips Beet puree--amazing! Surf and turf prepared as requested with excellent accompaniments. Even our cocktail made to order. We felt pampered and that was special. If I had to find something to improve on, it's the valet parking fee: we had a 4:15 reservation and the sign said parking before 6 is $5 and after that it's $10. In NYC parking garages --early arrival is discounted. Yet here--you MUST valet park and they base the pricing on when you leave--so add another $5 plus a tip and you've paid $15 to park for less than 2 hours! Wow! And we are in PA. In the country. Other than that--outstanding, truly.

   We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at The River House at Odette's. We went on a freezing weeknight and it could not have been cozier. The food, service and ambience were excellent and we look forward to our next visit!!

   Food was ok…. I don’t think it was worth the cost. The staff was friendly. Most staff kept wandering around as if they had nothing to do which was a bit annoying. I would go back again in a non winter month to see the views over the Delaware River. The valet staff was nice and prompt.

   Really poor service and drink quality left a lot to be desired. Had to ask for our server several times, and was late to relieve our sitter bc the service was so inconsistent and non-existent for larger chunks of the night.

    My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on Valentine's Day at Odette's. She had the Atlantic Salmon and I had the Lobster Pappadelle. Food was delicious. We enjoyed the beautiful ambiance, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. We would highly recommend and hope to go back.
