During the low season (from July 23rd to October 13th), we operate with 2 service times: 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and we close at 4:00 PM.

High season hours (starting October 15th) will be 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, with closing time at 5:00 PM.

To make a reservation, the system requires a non-refundable prepayment of $120 pesos per person for round-trip boat transportation. This amount is not refundable in case of cancellations or no-shows. If you hike in or arrive by your own boat, this payment will serve as a deposit and will be deducted from your bill on the day of your visit.

Please note; our weather and waves can change on a moment's notice. We may have to cancel the water taxi and close the restaurant if the waves are too high. This only happens occasionally but if we do you will receive a text on the phone number you leave with open table.

    You can access Boca de Tomatlan by bus, Uber, or Taxi. We are 30 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta. Please go to the cement dock and our water taxi will pick you up 20 minutes before your reservation. Look for the boat with our shirts that say Ocean Grill.

    Take a bus in Basilio Badillo street in Zona Romántica. It will drop you in the highway and need to walk down to the pier. Cabs or Uber will drop you off at the dock directly

    The most incredible experience. The food was exceptional and the whale show was unparalleled asa mother and her calf performed in the bay for about 20 minutes.

    Ocean Grill is an amazing destination and restaurant. The food is great. The Ocean Grill Margarita is refreshing, minty and perfect. Service is great and you can't beat the location.

    Great service and wonderful food. The boat ride is fun. It is fun to take the bus to Boca for 10 pesos. Reservations a must. If you are a hiker, there is trail that takes about 40 minutes from Boca, wear good shoes

    Fabulous setting and quality of food. Shame that management have not trained the waiters to the level of service etiquette expected in a top notch restaurant. For example , they should not clear plates away until everyone at the table has finished . The waiters were clearing each person’s plate as soon as they finished putting pressure on the others at the table to hurry up and finish their food ! Also , the waiters were serving from left and right instead of from left to right.

    Awesome place. Make it a point to come here every year. Alejandro the wait staff is awesome, as is the food. Only complaint is that the prices have really gotten high! Still, splurge for a great afternoon. Smoked marlin tostados are food for the gods. 🤤😋
