We took advantage of restaurant week. The pear salad was great, and the steaks (filet and strip) were good cuts of meat. Unfortunately the steaks needed some seasoning. They were tender but bland. The pimento Mac salad was very good as well. It’s a sports bar and had a good selection of shareables, beer and mixed specialty drinks. I’d go back to try the regular menu but would probably skip the filet.

We went to the North Shore Tavern for Pittsburgh restaurant week. The Stuffed Pepper soup was excellent. The Filet Mignon was very good. I would recommend the Apple Dumpling for dessert. The service was amazing!

Very slow service .. I’ve been here several times and never had to wait as long for everything. Our reservation was 6:15 and we didn’t eat till 7:45.

NY Strip was ok. Sweet Potato fries and Pear salad were really good. Even for the “cheaper” price of restaurant week, I could’ve made a better steak at home for much less. I did the math and basically you are getting the dessert free for the deal. I could’ve gotten the New York strip and pierogies for $.75 more anyway - and I would’ve got six pierogi instead of four (they reduced the count for the restaurant week deal) so… Our primary waitress was wonderful very pleasant, attentive and accommodating. That said, the waitress that brought our food to the table did not appear to be a people person. It seemed that she wanted to put me in my place when she brought our deserts out and I reminded her that it was to go. She rather sternly told me that she doesn’t do “to go” boxing and that she would bring me out boxes. My waitress specified that she put the desserts order in as “to go” - leading me to believe that I would not have to box my own dessert. Fine if that’s your policy - but it was the tone and the furrowed brow… I wouldn’t omit North Shore Tavern as an option if I were at the PNC Park and wanted those sweet potato fries. However, I would never see this restaurant as somewhere to have a real sit-down meal.

Visited for restaurant week. Pleasantly surprised - food was great - parking wasn’t too much of a hassle - would definitely recommend and go back!

Excellent dinner and service. Coincidentally, our visit coincided with restaurant week, which offered a great deal forca 3 course meal. We tried the pear salad, pierogies, filet and ny strip on a stone, mashed potatoes, and fries and everything was great.

I would recommend this location for delivery of your food that you will not get anywhere else in the Pittsburgh area. Go ahead and give it a try, you will not leave disappointed.
