   Great food, but uneven service -- very attentive at the beginning, but tailed off thereafter, and we wound up having to flag down a server to pay the bill. Worst of all though, the sound level was so high that conversation was impossible. I will probably not be returning -- having to shout to talk with my dinner partner is not my idea of a good dinner spot.

   I was at NOPA on January 20th and sat at the communal table, which was really fun. My friend and I chatted with a few people at the table there which made the experience very pleasant. Our server, Felix, was outstanding!!! Very kind patient and attentive! I ordered a pasta dish with mushrooms and my friend had the burger. Both were amazing! For drinks we ordered the whiskey smash and a glass of Cab Franc, both excellent. For dessert we had the tart and the pumpkin brûlée bread with toasted pumpkin seeds which was our favorite. We were back at NOPA last night and I had brought a few more friends with me since we had an amazing experience the first time. This time did not disappoint! We sat at the bar as we waited for our 8:45 reservation. It was very busy as usual, but also very expected for a Saturday night. We were excited to be sat in Felix’s section again and he actually remembered us from our first visit! Once again, we had a great experience here and will most definitely be back soon!

   Fabulous all around. pork chop stellar! The only thought we had was that the tagliatelle, Bolognese portion could’ve been larger for the Main Course, value but still excellent. Love this place!

    So glad I was able to get a reservation while visiting SF. We had the smoked trout latkes and will come back just for this dish. So good! Everyone seemed to be getting the burger so we went with that. If you like a good medium/medium rare burger - get the burger! We wanted a bottle of wine and the wine selection is quite extensive. The waiter sent the sommelier to our table and Gretchen was so sweet and helpful. She suggested a perfect white at a fantastic price point. 10/10 would recommend and will be going next time I’m in SF.
