   My wife and I were very excited to go, since we had this place on our list for a long time. Until we felt rushed by our waiter (who never said his name or introduced himself) we had to flag him down for to add to our meal because once he took our order was not seen until he brought over the check. The calamari wasn’t good and my wife had to ask a manager flipping a table to take it off since our waiter never came back to ask how it was. The food was mid but I think our food experience would have been different if we didn’t have the experience we had. Lastly, I put in the notes that it was for my wife’s birthday and the waiter didn’t even acknowledge or ask if we came for a special occasion. We will definitely not return back there again.

   The good: stunning views of NYC. Calamari and oxtail were good, 7/10 The bad: The snapper was crying for seasoning and overcooked to the point of being tough to cut through. It took almost 45 minutes between apps and the main course, and not once did a host/server check to see if our table was okay or if we needed anything.

   While you can’t beat the views of Manhattan and excellent drinks, one of the entrees we had was a HUGE disappointment. $42 for FROZEN red snapper. The vegetables that accompanied the fish were scarce and the corn was “cornletta” and not fresh corn. Calamari appetizer was average. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and he did try to attend to our disappointment with the red snapper entree. I think he should have gotten a manager to speak with us and compensate us for a below average entree. The linguini and shell fish was delicious. This place is great for a drink and appetizer. I would not waste my money on average entree(s).

   Our server Shanelle made our experience even better. Love the restaurants at Weehawken, but this one is by far the best.

    food was mediocre at best service was the worst. I’ve ever experienced 45 minutes to get a drink then they never came back when they did ordered more drinks. They disappeared again for another 45 minutes. First time I’ve ever left a restaurant without leaving a tip.
