Outstanding dinner before a show at the Beacon Theater. Early dinner time was perfect as the restaurant filled up fast. Great cocktails, wine and food. Will definitely return with family and friends!

We usually love Nice Matin, but today we went for brunch and had several issues. First, we had to wait about 10-15 minutes despite having made a reservation in advance. This in and of itself wouldn’t have been too much of a problem, but, despite the restaurant listing as policy that a table of four is allowed 2 hours at your table, we were rushed at the end of our meal and asked to leave the table within 10 minutes even though we had been seated for only about an hour and 15 minutes at most. Both of these issues together really soured our experience, and it will be awhile before we go back. None of these issues were with our server, who was very pleasant and competent.

The food was very solid. Creative without being fussy and a wide selection of choices ranging from French to somewhat Italian to American. One guest loved the Duck Confit, another loved the Berkshire Pork Chop, I loved my Lamb Shank on polenta that fell off the bone and mixed with the polenta. Nice selection of after dinner drinks.

Waitress was friendly and efficient. Our drinks came within minutes of ordering. The meals were tasty, and delivered as a group. The Waffle and French toast were outstanding. The peach Bellini was delicious as well as the Bloody Mary. Despite being crowded, the noise level was nmanageable. We were able to chat without having to raise our voices.

Having dined here for over 10 years the food is normally excellent, however today the food was very mediocre and the service at the end of the meal was very rushed with staff picking up plates while we were still eating. Sorry to say we were disappointed.

The service was superb. Wonderful waiter and bus boy. Professional and caring. Salad Nicoise was large and delicious. we were able to sit and talk for a long time, had some catching up to do with my friend, and we weren’t bothered by anyone.
