Our menu represents Chef Michael's Blackie’s best food memories, which span over his 35 plus international career Chef worked in Asia, Latin America and is an expat from the UK.
His food style can best be described as a balance between Canadian roots with a strong influence in both Asian, Latin and European cuisines.
We are currently open for Dinner weekly 7 days week from 5 to 9 pm. We are known for our blind tasting menu that features 8 dishes shared between minimum of 2 people. We are also open for Sunday Brunch from 10am to 1 pm and offer a sharing 5 course - 10 dish brunch tasting menu.
NeXT opened in 2009 and is consistently in the top drawer of established restaurants in the Ottawa / Gatineau region. NeXT has been awarded many accolades over these past 11 years.

Excellent service from the owner and his team. Loved how he explained what kind of ingredients were in the dishes. Loved the share plate ideas which able to create more conversation with your guests, friends, or family. Definitely would come back. Thank you

Great food on the blind tasting menu and they were able to cater to certain preferences. Most of the dishes were superb and the dessert was fantastic. The wine selections for the tasting were all great as well. The price for the blind tasting was a little on the higher side but not unexpected especially with the variety of dishes and the high quality and cuts of meat used.

First time doing a tasting menu and it was so enjoyable. All the food was tasty and flavour. The tasting menu is the perfect way to enjoy all the best items on the menu. As well if you’re a bit picky they will pick items that suit your taste, we really appreciate them accommodating. The cocktails were also delicious! Looking forward to going back!

We had an exceptional experience last night chef Blakie as our waiter. We ordered the blind tasting menu and each course was delivered with a fun conversation. The eight courses were exceptional ranging from heritage tomatoes to pork belly to duck to three outstanding desserts. Only issue was the acoustics in the room could not handle the noise level. But to be fare, one table was ridiculously loud. We will be back soon.

It was an early Sunday night with a private party going on in a separate room. The music was HORRIBLE and was very distracting…thumping house music. Not sure what kind of vibe they are trying to create. Note…Stittsville is NOT Queen West, Toronto. Our waiter was pleasant and efficient. That said, food sat under the heat lamps and most of our 6 dishes arrived warm. The ‘share everything’ strategy tends to be smoke and mirrors for $$$$ small portions. Food was tasty, but nothing I haven’t had before. The dining room is cavernous and designed for large catered events. Private dining is clearly secondary. The room needs a makeover. There are definitely ways to bring more intimacy to the space without jeopardizing the opportunity to host the large events. Not sure I’ll go running back anytime soon.

We had the blind share where the chef selected the meals, 6 savory and 2 sweet. Every dish was amazing. Sorry I forgot the waiter's name but he was lovely.
