   It was Restaurant week and a perfect opportunity to return to one of out favorites. We began with a glass of wine, Carmenere for me and and Rose Figuiere for her. For starters I had Salmon Tartar and my girlfriend had Roasted Beet Carpaccio. Both were beautifully presented and my dish was delicate with a variety of complex flavors. For my main coarse I had the Brazed Lamb Shank. It was tender falling off the bone and easily separated with a fork. I must say the portion was generous and delicious. I wound up taking some home for a second meal and to leave room for desert. My girlfriend had Pan Seared Branzino which was also a generous serving and delicious. My desert was the Tiramisu. My girlfriend who is not a big eater let me have her desert to go along with my take out. The service was prompt and cordial with Rosi as our serve who was attentive without being obtrusive. Ambiance is warm and comfortable with windows overlooking a little section of Rock Creek Park below Connecticut Avenue

   Came for Winter Restaurant Week with my family and left with the desire to become a regular!! such an incredibly array of food all with incredibly thought out ingredients. The menu itself has so many more options we can’t wait to come back and try, but the RW menu was the perfect display of its possibilities. Service was great. gave us ample time to enjoy our food and talk amongst ourselves. The steak frites could’ve used a little more flavor /salt on the steak but it itself was great! favorite dish was the cheesy fondue and the banana bread pudding. just the best way to start and end the meal. Their blackberry marg was exquisite, one of the best i’ve had

   Great food — we dined from the happy hour menu and really enjoyed it. A great selection, generous portions, nice presentation, and really yummy!

   An interesting and innovative menu, which was great. And an excellent, excellent server. I don’t know her name, but she was the only woman there that night.

   Everything was excellent: the appetizers (Brussels sprouts), the entrees and the dessert. Our entrees were the Brazilian steak and the duck confit. Both entrees were flavorful and the duck was so tender it fell off the bone. We had the pistachio ricotta cake for dessert and it was light and not too sweet. It was quiet in the restaurant and easy to carry on a conversation. No one hurried us through our 2 hour meal. It was a lovely experience all around.

   In short, it was an outstanding evening. The duck confit was the best I have ever had. All else, ncluding service, was wonderful.

   We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. Seated in a nice booth immediately. Served water. D rink orders were taken quickly. Good was ordered in a leisurely, non rushed manner. Everything was excellent. Our server was very attentive. I also want to compliment Diana, whom we know from prior visits. She made certain to welcome us graciously and wish us Happy New Year. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
