   Always fab! Such a great quaint place on the historic square! Fantastic food, drinks, and appetizers! Live music is such a treat. Highly recommend!

   Our second trip to Native Son this month...love that their menu changes. Our group ordered the oysters, redfish and the game-hen. Redfish is amazing. I think they were running out of brussel sprouts with the butter beans but that happens. I loved the oysters... The very best thing is the banana pudding. Why does a restaurant only offer one desert? Try the banana pudding and you'll know. Oh my...it was shocking. They serve it hot and I was expecting cold --- it is SO much better hot. I will be ordering that every time. Great service - hope this business continues to thrive.

   Ryan and Maxine have created the perfect small town hangout. It’s like going to a 5 star restaurant with a fun and laid back vibe. Dress up, dress down. Come with a group, on a date, or by yourself. You will find the perfect atmosphere no matter what you’re looking for. That’s tough to accomplish, but they have figured it out! Find time to go and experience this place! You won’t regret it!

   Native Son is everything I would expect and experience in Dallas Ft. Worth. It has all of the aspects of a 5 star restaurant with the small town feel of friendly, interactive owners who remember you and greet you warmly. Maxine and Ryan celebrate the fun atmosphere with their patrons - as if you are at a party in their home. The entertainment was great, the food was spectacular, the drinks are top notch. They are very professional- they were crazy busy last night but we never lacked service or attention, nor did we experience any wait time for our drinks, table or food! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   All of the food was good, and the portions were so large that all five us brought home leftovers, even the hamburgers. So, I couldn’t have the warm banana pudding. Fortunately, they suggested I take it to go. I am so glad I did. It was incredible! It was still warm when we got home. Banana pudding is my favorite dessert and this was about the best I’ve ever had. Sorry, Mother!

   We had a great time here. The owners & staff are great. Service and food were both amazing. The hummus appetizer is very tasty!

   This was our third visit in the last 3 months and once again, it did not disappoint! Such a fun, lovely place to gather and share a meal with friends. It's a stark contrast to typical dining where everything seems distanced and impersonal because here you feel valued and are treated so well. The food was amazing as always, from the cracklings and hummus starters to the steak, all was done to perfection. Others at our table enjoyed their burger and of course the specialty drinks were a fabulous compliment. We finished with a shared banana pudding that was the best I've ever tasted (sorry Mom lol) Can't wait to go back again soon!

    Hi David! We really enjoyed having y'all in! Cannon is a rockstar and we're blessed to have him on our team. While we like to keep things energetic in the house, it might be a bit much for some guests. :) Let us know next time and we'll see if we need adjust the volume a bit without sacrificing the vibe. ;) Looking forward to having y'all back in!
