Founded in 1897, Agawam has a storied history of more than 125 years. More recently, Agawam has started the tradition of opening its doors every winter to invite guests to dine during Restaurant Week.     I had a great dining experience at the Agawan Hunt for Providence Restaurant Week. Since I am not a member, it is great that they open their doors to non-members during Restaurant Week. The place is beautiful, with dark wood panels, and 2 huge roaring fireplaces, one in the lobby and one in the dining room. The tables in the dining room were set up elegantly, each with the name of the party for which they were reserved. The food was creative and a feast for the eyes and the palette. The evening started with an amuse-bouche of egg, cream, and topped with caviar. For the appetizer, I had the foie gras custard pastry accompanied with a slow-cooked pineapple jam. For the entree, I had the chourico-encrusted scallops. They were cooked to perfection. For dessert, I had the honey and olive oil flan. I have had different flans throughout my life, and I must admit that this was the best I have ever had. The servers were pleasant and professional, and the appetizer and entree were presented by the chef. The evening will remain in my mind for some time to come.

    Outstanding ambiance, food, and service! Mitch created a menu the upscaled the usual Portuguese food one might find in a local Portuguese restaurant. I was completely impressed with the textures, and the taste. I must also mention the delicious cocktails. Lastly, our waitress and the team were on their game.

    Dinner was amazing! Food presentation, flavor and textures all 5 stars! Great wine list to accompany the fantastic food! Chef Mitch is very knowledgeable and really displays his passion for his craft! Highly recommend if you have a chance to try this culinary experience!

    Having dinner at Agawam Hunt is always such a treat for no -members. Love that we have this opportunity during Providence Restaurant Week! Chef Mitch Mauricio and his team are exceptional, we made reservations in two separate days so we could try more of the creative menu. Everything was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed Mitch’s creative spin on Portuguese cuisine!!

    Chef Mitchell was amazing! His combination of flavors was beautifully executed, the tiramisu dessert was amazing. Highly recommend coming here for a date night or a night out with friends or family!

    Our dinner and all of the staff at Nasturtium were wonderful! This is a lovely restaurant at Agawam Hunt and they went out of their way to make sure everyone felt welcome and relaxed. We were dined and so welcomed!!!

    The seating was perfect with a view of the golf course. The Food was exquisite. The staff was professional. The large fireplace was a fabulous place to retire after dinner with a cordial.

    Very happy we got to try their restaurant week menu and will definitely be back again in another season to see what their other specials are like. It was beautiful in the snow, and I imagine it'll be even more pretty on the patio in the summer.
