About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
  • Neighborhood gem
Naschmarkt (NASH-MARKed) is a family-owned and operated premier and authentic restaurant that has been proudly serving the Campbell area and beyond since June 2011. Since then, our mission has been to provide high-quality food for all those that wish to combine fun and enjoyable ambiance with skillful cooking into one extraordinary dining experience.

The restaurant is named after the largest open-air produce market in Vienna, Austria. Austria’s history and geography influence much of its cuisine. Austria was once the center of the large Austro-Hungarian Empire stretching from France to Russia and from the Baltic Sea to Turkey, imparting a varied heritage to Austria's cuisine. Located in the center of Europe, Austria’s modern-day cuisine is influenced by surrounding countries like Germany, Hungary, Italy, and even France.

Our birthday party at Naschmarkt was a great success. Gracious and personal service, above average food, great menu, and appropriate wine list. Fairly broad selection of schnapps and domestic spirits. We had a medium large party and when we arrived our table was ready and waiting in a quiet area away from traffic. The menu accommodated a fairly broad range of tastes and dietary restrictions, "something for everyone." Try the veal. It's the best in the city.

We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Naschmarkt with amazing sausages, pretzels, wiener schnitzel and of course apfel strudel. The food was super tasty and the service was great too! The wiener schnitzel is a huge portion, so we'll be enjoying a lot of it for dinner again. I would highly recommend this place for authentic austrian food.

We were here on a weeknight in March and it was pretty empty. The ambience was lovely and the food was exceptional. Like other people have commented, be careful with the water situation. If you ask for a bottled water, they just keep refilling it even if your cup is still 3/4 full. There were six of us, and nobody asked for more water, but then when we got the bill, it was for $40 worth of water because apparently they had gone through several bottles. My daughter said she felt pressured to keep drinking it because they kept refilling it. I wish they had communicated that. This is kind of shady.

This is a fantastic place to get authentic Austrian food and wine. But they also have some more standard choices for this who aren’t willing to explore the marvels of Austrian cuisine. And the host is so welcoming that you feel like family.

We made a reservation 10 days in advance, expecting a smooth and enjoyable Valentine’s Day dinner. However, despite their strict paid no-show policy, they had overbooked our time slot by at least five parties, causing a frustrating 40-minute wait past our scheduled reservation. Rather than taking accountability and offering any form of customer service, the hostess responded with an incredibly entitled attitude, making the situation even worse. A simple apology or effort to accommodate us would have gone a long way, but instead, her dismissiveness completely ruined the mood for the night. By the time we were finally seated, the frustration had already set in, making it impossible to enjoy the evening as planned. What should have been a seamless, romantic night turned into a test of patience. Given the poor organization and unprofessional staff attitude, this was a deeply disappointing experience.

Naschmarkt has to be one of my favorite restaurants. Great food, great service, friendly, nice vibe, ambiance, and absolutely loved the Valentine’s decor and violinist that played yesterday. Great time! Great memories!!!
