   The staff elevated a birthday dinner celebration, not only with a surprise but with genuine enthusiasm with each encounter! Compliments to the chef(s) as our meals were excellent!

   Varied menu with several interesting choices. Very good service, including the assistant, Caleb. We visit in every annual visit to Durham and will continue to do so.

   We had a reservation for 8pm and were not seated until 8:20 at least. We ordered our food very quickly after sitting down and it took 45 minutes for the appetizers to come out. We were at a high top and seated directly under an air vent so it was freezing. The food was good and the waiter was nice but it was so slow and cold.

    Newly reopened Nanas didn’t disappoint. The menu is a has a number of fish, vegetarian and pasta options in addition to one chicken and one steak option. Chicken was rich and juicy with fried potatoes that were crisp and yummy. Shrimp risotto was rich and creamy with fresh crunchy shrimp that was lovely. Service was attentive but not overbearing. We sat at the high tops at the bar and I was worried it would get too noisy when it filled up but it was pleasant and I could hear well and talk at a normal volume. Food was just what we were hoping for and we shared the chocolate soufflé which was wonderful to top it off.
