   Wcerything was great . Food was delicious. Service was great. But we sat outside and there was no shade. Definitely need to invest in massive umbrellas before summer comes along

   Having been to Nami Nori three times prior to today, I thought I had an idea of what I was getting. We sat at the counter and our server was great! What wasn’t great at all was the female “sushi chef” we got stuck with. The five temakis she served us were so poorly executed, it was shocking. The amount of topping she put on each one overshadowed the fish, the taste hardly resembled the temakis I had the three times prior and she must have heated up the spicy crab for way too long bc both my brother and I completely burnt our tongues after biting into it. Unacceptable to say the least!!!

   We loved the place and the concept. It has a very vibrant ambience, food is extremely fresh, staff is friendly and welcoming. It is a place to come back!

   I appreciate that the whole menu is gluten free. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. The sushi was good but flavors were those of an average sushi restaurant-- after experiencing it, I think the handroll concept is more of a novelty than anything else. Didn't have a great experience with service-- had a nori sheet blow onto the ground and had to ask 3 different waiters and the manager and wait 20 minutes for a replacement nori sheet to finish my hand rolls-- the whole concept of this restaurant depends on nori sheets, it shouldn't be this complicated! We were also sat next to a family who were each watching tik tok videos at extremely loud volume during the whole lunch-- at some point the restaurant needs to intervene in situations like this. Ordered the cookies to go because everything else took so long, and when I got home they were half raw. An ok spot for a casual lunch in the Design District, but not something I'd fight to get a reservation for.

   James was amazing. So attentive and so kind, and all of the recommendations were spot on. I had the best time. Every hand roll was fantastic, and the quality of the food was great. Definitely will be coming back. :)

    I love coming here! The only thing I will point out is the service is slow at times and they seem to forget to bring out certain things. Yet, everyone is very kind and the food is always delicious. Fresh fish with sticky rice and crispy nori. What more could you want?
