We arranged this evening some while ago as hubby loves AH and as I'm irish descendent, loving the food...... pretty high expectations eh! Travelled from Leicester square via tube and firstly went to wee sisters wine bar. Oh dear Anna, sort your signage out..... poor indeed! We brought our reservation forward and walked with glasses of wine to restaurant....... a good maitrie d" would have transported them for us! I visited the Ladies and our meals delivered, which meant I had no idea what was what, finding a sauce to accompany my dish halfway through my meal! Beth was lovely and realised her error and apologised. Would we revisit...... highly unlikely sadly.

Our second visit, and not as good as the first. Overall a good experience but we had not expected being immediately presented with pressure for ‘Guinness for the lads’ and hoping we would be enjoying the craic…we’ll go to the rugby for that, not a fine dining experience for Irish cuisine. Food is delicate and well presented but incredibly small portions, even in the a la carte menu. One dish, even though tasty, the potato cake main, at 39 pounds was expensive for what it was.

Lovely cosy restaurant with an excellent atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and explained every course in great detail. We had the 6 course tasting menu which had a great variety of dishes and all with fabulous flavours. Beautifully presented. The soda bread was simply awesome. Very few soft drinks on the menu - they did have more available but odd they weren't shown. And there weren't any longer cocktails, like a spritz, which I always prefer, as not a wine drinker. They did make me one, but it was a bit of a faff. Really enjoyed the evening. Was probably a little more pricy than I would have expected, but as a one off treat happy to pay.

An Irish gem, in the heart of Chelsea! My second time visiting Myrtle and would go back tomorrow. The people, the food really showcased the best of Irish cuisine and charm! If in doubt do the tasting menu! Thank you Ian, Dan and Beth!

Having booked months in advance for a special occasion, we were disappointed to be shown to a table in the corner where my only view was the air-con unit. We did ask about moving and to be fair, the manager did offer to show us another table, but stated it would have a similar outlook. Selected the 7 course St Patrick's Day tasting menu with matching wine flight. A couple of the dishes were excellent - Clover, Beef, and Dark Hedges Gateau. Other dishes were ok, but not amazing. The matching wine flight was not detailed on the menu, so no clarity on which courses had an accompanying wine. When I asked the floor manager about this, he was very defensive, bordering on aggressive, stating the not every course had a wine to match. He begrugglingly returned with a glass of dessert wine. Service from the young waiter was great as was the restaurant manager.

This was my first visit to Myrtle but it will not be my last. We absolutely loved our evening here - from the drink before dinner in the Wee Sister next door (excellent Guinness according to husband and delicious crémant according to me) - to the amazing St Patrick's Day tasting menu with a fabulous wine pairing. Every single course was delicious - the little amuse bouche (black pudding with apple, ham croquettes), the coddle, the amazing take on cabbage & Bacon, the mouthwatering beef etc and culminating in the best ever Dark Hedges/Black Forest pudding I've ever had. I just about restrained myself from licking the plate. The service was perfect - friendly, attentive and professional. Restaurant manager Daniel looked after us wonderfully from start to finish - and was great at explaining the wine pairings. We went home buzzing after one of the best and most enjoyable meals I've ever had. We felt really looked after and, of course, extremely well fed and watered. I recommend Myrtle whole-heartedly.
