   Musaafer is a whole experience. It celebrates dining and the food in the best way. The ambiance and decor is beautiful and gives a energetic and cultural vibe. The service is top notch, each staff we were in contact with was professional and courteous. One thing that stood out is the way they explained the menu and food. The most impressive of all was the presentation, the taste and quality of the food. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience at Musaafer. Well done in many ways. Congratulations to them on their Michelin star, it is well deserved!

   The cuisine prepared by arguably the best chef’s in the world as well as #2 & #8 chocolatier on the planet far exceed my expectations. Flavorful!! Atmosphere and ambiance was fit for a king. Our waiters knowledge of the food’s culture was incredible.

   We dined at the 9:30 pm seating on New Year's Eve. This was supposed to be a chef's special menu. We had high expectations for this. First the good parts: Ambience was very nice. Service was very nice. Entertainment was nice. Now the not-so-good parts: The Food, unfortunately. We were expecting very nice food for this special occasion. We also were celebrating our anniversary which we communicated to the restaurant while making the reservation a week in advance. The food taste/quality were the letdown for this recently michelin awarded place. The offerings started off fine with the first, second course, etc. The drinks were good. However, the Chicken 65 dish was served with hardly any chicken, but was full of hard deep fried batter pieces only. We did inform the server Tejas about it. The main course of the lamb chops was the biggest letdown. Not sure if the chef or anyone else actually tasted this dish. The sauce was full of oil and masalas which tasted the worst sauce we have ever had. The lamb chops themselves tasted like these were cooked couple of days ago. Very disappointing. The Naan was cold and stretchy and we could barely take a couple of bites. The Dal was fine but the service was only a couple of spoons. The dessert (sandesh) was also not up to this special evening. The chai was moderately warm. Overall, the food left us very disappointed for this $300/person (including one non-alcoholic drink, tax and tips). For our anniversary celebration we were given a congratulatory card.

   Great experience, but Agas is king. If you want great ambiance, go to Musaafer. 6 guest, food and drink $900.

   The food and ambience were great, in order to be exceptional, it would have been nice for the tables to be kept clean between the courses. The staff also took away our napkins a couple of times and we had to request them again We have been here several times and would go back again. Thanks

   We sat at a high table next the bar where the servers came to get drinks constantly for other tables. One of chairs no longer had sufficient cushion. We told our server about the chair and he gave us a cushion/pillow for the chair instead of a new chair. Our server walked by us frequently, but didn’t check in on us frequently. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. I was only impressed by 1 of the appetizers. In my opinion, the rest of the food lacked spice and complex flavors compared to other Indian restaurants. When ordering food, our server did not ask about the spice level of our food. I won’t be returning due to the overall poor value for both the food and service. I was expecting a lot more for the cost of the meal and experience.

   We choose the chef menu, it took 40 min to start serving. It does not seems something they are used to serve. No value for money.

   Whenever we visit Houston, Musaffer is always our go-to place. The food is consistently delicious, and the ambience is exceptional. This time, we had an even more memorable experience as the manager took the time to come over and speak with us. He was incredibly kind and polite, sharing the exciting news that they will be opening a new location in New York this February. We are thrilled for them and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

   I came out to celebrate my birthday with friends and family. I booked my reservation on 11/21 for December 29th. I also added details on allergies. I feel like that should have been ample time to know what should have been expected for the table as far as dishes, the only question would have been who gets what. We were so excited to come out, I had people come from Conroe, Texas City, and Austin. I was excited as this was MY first experience at a Michelin star restaurant. They had been to other restaurants that were awarded stars in other cities. Everyone at my table was SEVERELY disappointed with the service, the wait times, and overall experience. This completely took away from the enjoyment of the food. Considering this is a tasting menu, we should not be waiting 20-30 minutes in between courses for a taste. When we questioned it after being there almost two hours and barely being on course #3, we were responded with attitude over the plating. We completely understood that plating takes time, but with a month of preparation and allergy instructions included… one would think they would have had ample time have prepared and to keep up with the course of the meal. Especially with the fact that we spent over $250 each. And for what? For attitude? To sit there from 7:10-10:30 majority of the time just waiting to be remembered? The tables around us had such quick service and to think that we did not receive the same quality service paying a higher price point is absurd. This was not a very happy birthday for me.

    I have tried other tasting menus and this by far was one of the more unique ones just on the food. Every dish has so much flavor and interesting concepts. Loved the flexibility of being able to choose between vegetarian or meat option per dish and not just having to do that for the full menu. Would recommend if there are two people to get one of each option to try them both. By the time the final entree came we were almost to full having eaten every last bite of all of the dishes and then still had 2 desserts to go. Am looking forward to doing it again in the future.
