The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers contemporary Creole cuisine with New Orleans classics like Seafood Gumbo, Turtle soup, Shrimp & Grits and Wood Grilled Pork Chop while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks and appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer Seance and The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's top bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan; it's the perfect spot for an intimate conversation or a drink among its plush surroundings. The 170 foot wrap-around balcony is a splendid spot for enjoying our specialty cocktails or our extensive wine list featuring over 300 selections from around the world.

Unfortunately we did not end up dining here, as the service was nearly nonexistent and as a result we had to leave. After waiting 10 or so minutes, we finally ordered drinks though they never came after roughly 20 minutes of waiting. We were checked in on once and told our drinks would be coming soon, but they never did. During this time, the server also never once asked what we’d like to order. Therefore, after 30 total minutes, we then decided to leave.

We had a great time and food was very good! Just a bit disappointed that even with a reservation we still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated!

Felt very welcome; had a drink from the bar prior to our reservation, seated at the right time on a very busy Friday nite. Waiter and service were exceptional, all 3 food courses were outstanding. Will certainly dine here on our next visit to NOLA.

The food was excellent, as always! The service was just okay. We recognize it was Valentine’s Day, and busy, but we were not at all difficult or problematic customers. We found our msinserver overall detached and unfriendly. However, Randall at the entrance and our female server serving drinks were a joy on a such a special occasion.

We were greeted at the door and seated right away for our reservation. While looking at our menus they came around with reading glasses to ensure we could see the menu. The food was amazing. The Fried Oysters Corn Chowder soup was to die for! It was a nice touch at the end of the night to receive a rose on Valentine’s Day. Our servers, Alex and Marie, went above and beyond to make sure we had the best dining experience! Thank you!

It was our second time here from Las Vegas. We made this weekend trip just for the turtle soup. It was just as awesome as our first time in 2021. We will be back again.

Our pork shops were a little over done. My wife's sea bream was excellent. My daughter's duck was outstanding.
