This place was a miss for me. I have had Omakase experiences in large US cities and in Japan, and this missed the mark. 1 - albeit by design and very intentional - the music was loud and the opposite of "chill." I don't need cocktail jazz in the background, but the volume and music chosen didn't create a vibe that I enjoyed. The service by the staff was impeccable. The food was just forgettable. Comparatively speaking, the taste and selection of MOST of the courses just lacked flavor, inspiration, and creativity. The presentation of most of the courses was basic (which is fine) but many of the sushi courses were incredibly similar without much differentiation (with respect to preparation, garnishes, presentation, garnishes, flavors, etc.) While not as impactful, I didn't enjoy the interaction with the main sushi chef. They spent >60% of the time we were there interacting with one couple, when there were ~10 people at the bar. I would have expected an equal amount of interaction given the small group size and configuration of the space. I won't be back to this place, personally, as the vibe, experience, food, and interaction with the sushi chef wasn't what I want out of an Omakase experience.

The worst omakase experience I have ever been to. To start it all off, we arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time and as we are waiting for our table another party that had the same reservation time as me walked inside and was immediately seated… not sure why they were able to sit while we had to wait? Then let’s talk about the experience, as an avid wine drinker I understand that a red wine does not pair well with the food although, my money my decision. The waiter than went to call me a “new wine drinker” coming off as an insult… now I didn’t take that lightly and asked him why he would say that to me and as you can imagine he had no answer. The chef wanted to make it right by offering a soju wine in which I rejected as I’m not here for your $10 dollar apology. I spent over $1000 for the worst time of my life. Go to Omakase table, they actually have better food and service.

Great experience. Impeccable service, fresh and delicious Omakasse with a few innovations without compromising authenticity. Wine menu fairly priced and well curated. Obviously the price is quite high but worthy.

First class experience from start to finish - well-deserving of its Michelin star rating. The staff was incredibly attentive - all the way down to noticing that I'm left-handed and placing my utensils to the left. Sushi chef David is a master of his craft and very patient in describing each piece of fish as well as some interesting facts along the way. This is sushi and fine dining at its best. Just be prepared for the price tag that goes along with the memorable food and experience.
