   Absolutely an amazing place to hear music and so glad this venue is in San Francisco. Very easy to get to by public transportation. Tickets to the shows are separate from beverages and food. This ensures that the musicians get paid (yeh!!) Excellent service, good drinks, food is uneven - duck is the BEST thing on the menu. For our party of 5, a 21% gratuity was included in the bill. I don't know if this applies across the board.

   What a fantastic spot! We chose Mr. Tipple’s mostly for its proximity to the Bill Graham Auditorium, but almost immediately upon entering wondered “how did we not know about this place?” The space is very intimate and inviting, and from the front desk to everyone who served us, the staff was friendly and efficient. The dim sum format was perfect for the venue and delicious. Oh right… and wow: the quartet playing that evening was five star.

   Excellent as always - top jazz by the Aaron Germaine Trio, great food and drink (xiao long bao, chicken bao, mochi pancake), Duke’s Manhattan and Overnight Celebrity cocktails. The Overnight Celebrity is a fantastic new recipe and presentation, and Enoch was very friendly and expert. Looking forward to my next visit.

   I'm so happy to have discovered this unique, cozy, stylish venue! It is small, comfortable and affordable. The music (Stella Swings Ella" was terrific!

   Great music venue with reasonable prices for tasty food and well-made drinks. Arrive early for the best spots in whatever seating tier you’ve selected.

   Wonderful experience at Mr Tipples - including terrific Dim Sum and wonderful music from the Emily Day Swingtet! Service was excellent and they accommodated early arrivals in the heavy rain.

   Had a great night here. The band was good and the drinks were great. Everyone working there was very nice. I was shocked at how nice the hosts were. It’s difficult to get good service in the city so their hospitality really means a lot. Thanks for taking care of us.

    Terrible experience due to management and their inability to deal with standard process around reservations. I showed up at 7:25p for a 7:30p reservation. I heard the couple directly in front me say they had a 8p reservation but they were seated right away. When I got to speak to the hostess at 7:29p i was literally told I was ‘early’ for my reservation and would have to wait. I politely noted she just sat a table 30 mins early right in front of me which felt inappropriate as there were literally 8 people standing in the vestibule behind them but was given no reply. Furthermore, once we were sat at 7:35p we were certainly informed of the 90 min limit. But after 90 mins I noted there were literally 4 other 2 top tables open when we were forcibly brought the check and told we had to leave the table. I informed the manager of the 4 other open tables but was told those weren’t the same reservations and he needed literally my 2 top table? I then also informed him of the error in seating the table literally right next to us 35 mins early and why were they permitted to keep sitting and had not been brought their check? He just said ‘sorry’ and said we must leave and then walked away. We walked to the bar area for another 30 mins and then left, but when leaving I made eye contact with the manager again noting to him that table next to me who he inappropriately gave my 7:30p table for their 8p reservation, was still at their table at 9:45p and still had no check, and he did nothing. This was my first visit and I can’t believe the way I was treated despite having spent a couple hundred dollars tab on food and many drinks.
