   It’s such a shame that their AC units didn’t work and it was so hot we ended up rushing our food and left ! I’m sure they could do much better with keeping the space cool in summer in Queensland! Not everyone wants to sit outside . Inside should be cool and inspire you to order more food and stay awhile! The poor staff were so HOT I do not know how they work there ! Listen up Owner , fix your AC please !!!!

   Family of 7 dined at Mr Hizola’s from 5pm 19th Jan 2025 for sons birthday. 3 of us ordered the main beef meal with rice. The beef meals came out before the entrees but no rice. I asked the waiter when the rice was coming, he replied they were cleaning the bowls. 10 minutes had passed and still no rice; Again I asked why we still hadn’t received our rice bowls, the same answer. I asked how long does it take to clean a few bowls? 15 minute wait for the plain rice to go with our main meal ☹️ Then came the entrees but still waiting on 2 mains. After 30 minutes I asked the waiter why the 2 meals still hadn’t come as yet but received no response. After checking the ordering screen he came and advised my daughter that the order hadn’t gone to the kitchen so they resent it (think he stuffed up on the order). Received no apology ! When we placed our order there were only 2 other diners in the restaurant. How our orders were misplaced I do not know. Our male waiter made no effort to correct his mistake and was unapologetic. Never going back!!!

   The food was okay but the service was terrible. We ate on a Saturday night, it was quiet (not all tables taken), our entree order was taken early & the first came out but we were given no cutlery. We asked the waitress & 10 minutes later we still didn’t have cutlery. We went up to the counter and asked again & they said they would bring it out right away. Another 5 minutes passed & our second entree came out (the first was now cold). We asked the waitress for cutlery again & she rolled her eyes & then brought us some. We tried to flag down staff for 15 minutes to order our mains and almost left the restaurant without ordering as we were just over it by this point. This wasn’t a very enjoyable dinner.

   The Chinese fusion food though not authentic, was very creative and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and attentive.

   Great service, beautiful cocktails, amazing food! The sizzling steak is a must. Absolutely superb. The only negative was the flies buzzing around but not much to be done about that when you’re by the windows.
