About this restaurant

  • Great for creative cocktails
  • Good for special occasions
  • Lively
At Morrissey's, couched within the reimagined Adelphi Hotel, wood fired pizzas and artful crudos spread across tables filled with good friends, good conversation, and great drinks. Local beer, craft cocktails, and a top-notch wine list complement an array of small plates and shareable dishes. The atmosphere reflects John Morrissey's rugged spirit, and his vision of Saratoga's gleaming future.

Local, sustainable ingredients are transformed into remarkably creative dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner seven days a week. Don't miss out on our ever-so-popular Brunch, every Saturday & Sunday from 10am-3pm.

John Morrissey gave up the ghost while sitting at the old Adelphi Hotel bar. We dedicate this establishment to his spirited history, and we think he'd have a damn good night here with us.

The Mother's Day Brunch was excellent!! Absolutely delicious buffet from the seafood, to the carving station, to the bloody mary's to the omelets, and all of the fruit and desserts really put it over the top! My Mother absolutely loved it! Sitting in the back room with the special table settings made it feel special. It was such a lovely way to celebrate Mother's Day! Thank you!

Morrissey's seated people practically on top of one another for the Mothers Day brunch. We were originally seated in the bar between a family of 4 and 2 diners - perhaps 6" from each table on either side. I had to turn sideways to exit our table and I'm thin. My husband is handicapped and this seat was not working for him so we requested a table closer to the dining room so he didn't have to walk so far. This was a smaller room and was perfect until a child of about 3 or 4 began howling in our dining area. Yes, howling "like a scary wolf" in his words. His parents and grandparents thought it was adorable, but after about 10 minutes of it, we had to move. How do people, literally, let their children behave like animals, ruining other diners' experience?! We taught our two children how to behave when they were old enough to go out to eat - no matter if it was at a McDonalds or a 5 star restaurant. This was absolutely inexcusable, especially for the price of this buffet. The food was barely mediocre. Nice trick with whatever cut of beef it was they served. They had little piles of pre-sliced "Prime Rib," with the far over cooked parts on the bottom and the more rare pieces on top. They didn't slice it when you walked up. (It may have been choice, but it was definitely not prime. So difficult to cut with the knife provided.) The ham was hammered. For some reason, Morrissey's couldn't keep up with fresh plates, fresh fruit and desserts. It's like they paid no attention to the reservation count. Because of the horrible howling child, we had to move to the bar to finish our Mimosas. This led us to meet Zach, the bartender. He was awesome and entertaining. He had the whole bar laughing and having a great time. We'll probably go back next year, but we'll have some special requests. Primarily, handicapped friendly seating and away from children who howl. The latter ruined our dining experience.

The food is actually awful. Over cheesy pizza lacking salt, tacos in a strange fried shell and a salad that was so overdressed it was inedible.

20 minute wait while sitting at the bar to get a cocktail. The bartender was stressed and his response to our frustration was unexpected and unprofessional. All he had to do was acknowledge us and engage us in his dilemma. As regulars we will avoid this server going forward. The inside restaurant room with low ceilings is extremely loud, gets worse the later the hour. Sushi was served warm, not very good. Our server was excellent, she understood the issues she inherited, did the best she could. Very disappointing, spent over $60,000 in this facility in last three years.

Had higher expectations at classic hotel restaurant for Easter brunch. We were seated in a dark back room with no windows, back of bar decor, and cheesy fake fireplace), poor acoustics (chatter from nearby tables drowned out our conversation), and clocked 25 minutes between time we received check to when I had to get up and find my credit card to sign and exit. Food was okay, atmosphere was poor.
