Great for fine wines

Montesacro is the first “Pinseria” in the United States.
It resembles old Roman “Fraschette” offering a wide selection of artisanal cheeses and cured meats, cold dishes from Roman tradition and a modern take on Pinsa, a low fat, low calorie and easy to digest flat bread made with a blend of rice, soy and wheat flour imported directly from Rome, all GMO free.
Our wine list represents mostly old world regions. We carry wines that are made from grape varietals native to their respective areas. We feature smaller producers of less known wines with a focus on organic, biodynamic and natural agriculture.

Nice restaurant, kinda scary neighborhood as we were headed to the orpheum after dinner and normally would walk, but no way here. Disappointing, I really hope this part of San Fran pulls itself together….its a lovely city.

Good food at a reasonable price. The neighborhood one has to walk through to get there is pretty nasty. Take an Uber to the door.

made a reservation easily and went on a quiet rainy monday night. we were greeted right away and seated promptly. server was very informative and helpful since it was our first time. everything came out timely and was delicious. the ambiance was charming and quirky. thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here

The food always delivers here and so does the service and atmosphere. The texture of the pinsas are delightful- chewy doughy and satisfying- and all of the combinations of toppings are well thought out. Thank you. This turned out to be an amazing spot for a “reunion” with friends we’d not seen for ~ 18 years! Thank you for helping to make it special!

Montesacro is a tried and true SOMA restaurant. The food is always simple and perfect. I enjoyed a delicious glass of red, and one of the best panna cotta's in recent memory! Yum.
