Brutal experience at MP. The food is marginal, at best. Some of our orders were incorrectly inputted in their system (a hamburger in lieu of gnocchi), and they were out of what we ordered by the time they tried to correct it. The waiter took all of our orders by memory (I asked him to write it down which he did not) which was most of the problem. Additionally, we found a strand of plastic (likely from a grated cheese bag or something similar) in a pizza. It’s very loud and all of the food was average. It’s a captive audience here so they can remain in business, but would be out of business rather quickly with this level of service and food quality in a metro area.

We went there on Christmas night when most of the restaurants were closed. It was very busy. The food was terrible. The gnocchi was burnt and had raw onions and tomatoes. Pizzas had sauce thrown on it with no cheese. Maybe the food was bad because the restaurant was very busy. We had a bad experience. Won’t recommend the place. There are better restaurants in the area.

Food was average at best, and the music was so insanely loud no one could talk during dinner.

Monkeypod is definitely one of my most favorite restaurants on Maui. I go to both locations frequently, but Whalers Village is my favorite. The food is outstanding and the staff is amazing and the view is spectacular. I recommend this as a destination for all occasions.

Fresh fish of the day in tacos or sandwich form -- very good! Today, it was Mahi Mahi. Good Monkeypod-branded drinks, especially the Monkeypod Mai Tai. Can be a bit loud, especially when the live performer is performing. Can be a bit warm, even when sitting underneath their giant fan. Overall, very good.

Good food and a fun environment with live music at 4pm. We visited on Christmas and my favorite dish was the macadamia nut crusted fish, so flavorful! Great experience, Mahalo!

Half the menu was sold out. After we ordered they came back to tell us that some of what we ordered was sold out. Waste of time.

Awful experience. They were PACKED (XMas Eve) but we many had reservations and they still accepted walkins - which was causing bottleneck issues for those who made reservations. Additionally - they were understaffed and out of a few options. Just seemed hectic and chaotic. Not to mention, the server barely came by. The food was also subpar - definitely not worth the prices. Big bummer.
