   I had booked a dinner reservation for 10:30 about a month prior. We arrived at 10:25 and they told us they didn’t have a table ready yet so we should go to the bar and get a drink and they would text me when our table was ready. At 10:50 we checked at the hostess stand and they said they had nothing, at 11:10 we checked again and the hostess rudely informed us there was one table but it was not in a good spot and that’s our only option. They processed to seat us in the middle of the packed bar standing area. We couldn’t even sit without being bumped into by people standing all around us. We decided not to eat and left. I hardly write reviews unless a place does something extremely good/bad but I think this warranted a bad review.

   Overall, I had a great time at Mona, the place is a vibe and definitely somewhere I would come back to for drinks and to hang out later in the night. I found the food to be average, the chicken kebabs were excellent, but the Mediterranean rice and the tabouli dish were average. Our waitress seemed pressed for time and for the table. We were repeatedly pressed about ordering our food and we didn’t take that long to decide either, we had ordered drinks and the appetizer first. At the end of the night when we wanted to order one more drink, as it became more crowded, she said it was likely that she would need the table, but then none of the other tables around us were pressured Like we were to leave. It was so obvious that the young lady at the table next to us was nice enough to offer for us to sit with them, but we ended up going to stand at the bar just to finish our drinks. one of the managers near the bar was nice and wasn’t sure why she did that and offered an extra chair there. I realize they’re still new so I hope they work out some of the details but overall really fun!

   Food was fine. Enjoyed the spreads and the gyro dumplings. Octopus was bland. Drinks were average and little pricey. Overall the ambiance and decor was very nice and great for a photo but the food/drinks/deserts were all just “fine” and expensive. 3/5 stars for me

   Dined here for my boyfriend’s birthday. I was very excited when we arrived because the hostess was so nice, the ambience was spectacular and we were seated right away! We ordered the tasting spreads with pita and a few drinks to start. The drinks took wayyy longer to arrive than our appetizer which was very shocking to us but not a huge deal. Everything was fine until we kept getting interrupted by waiters bringing drinks to us that wasn’t ours, multiple times we had to tell them we did not order these drinks. Then we placed an order for lobster pappardelle…. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the worst food I have had in my life. It was so bland and absolutely hard to even eat. I felt as if I ruined my boyfriend’s birthday with this terrible dining experience. And sadly had to report to others and clients within my consulting/sales job that this place is not worth trying.

   The ambiance was very fun and entertaining! We were disappointed with the service and food. We have to wait about 25 min after our dinner reservation time to be seated and they crammed us into a high top table by the bar. The cocktails were good but it took a while for the food to come out and the dips/ spreads and entrees were just ok, lacking flavor.

    Mona was a disappointment. Cute vibe/atheistic and that is about it. Drinks were meh. Food was decent. Service was awful. Would not recommend.
