   Strange. Food and drink were excellent. Service - lacking. We sat at the bar. We ordered drinks first. I think the bar back took care of us, if that is what you want to call taking care of us. We then, at the same time, ordered 1 app and 2 noodle dishes. We received the app - very good. After finishing the app the dishes were cleared and we were given clean plates. We waited for our entrees - 30 minutes later, with clean dishes still sitting in front of us, the bar back brought us our tab. I pointed out we never received our noodle dishes. We looked at the tab - they were there. The bar back then said, “I’m new.” Ok - that’s all well and good, but how about trouble shooting? We then grabbed the manager. He was very apologetic. “It happens” he said. Sure - it does. We get it. Another 20 minutes and we finally received our dishes. Not once did the manager return. We saw the manager speaking to one of the 2 bartenders and the that bartender brought us each a small sweet shot. “Sorry” he says. The 2 bartenders pretty much ignored us all night and concentrated on one area of the bar. At one point the female bartender asked robotically how things were going. I said, “eh…” she never responded or acknowledged even hearing me and continued making her drink and moved on. I felt like we were an inconvenience begging them to just do the basics of their job. Instead of syrupy sweet shots, comp our 2 drinks, apologize. After we finally received our meal the manager should have come over to check again. Nope. Again - just felt like we were an inconvenience.

   The food was fantastic, the noise level was such that the 7 of us could hear each other and the service was very good. Wish I lived in Indianapolis so I could dine here again soon.

   Staying at the Bottleworks Hotel we happened into Modita for dinner and were so pleased we did. The variety of Asian dishes on offer was a nice mix. Our meal was delicious, especially the Bao Buns, the Ahi Tuna, the Miso soup and the Salmon entree. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. We definitely will return on our next visit.
