I expected more, especially from the price and the expectations associated with the 4 seasons. It was a hotel lobby restaurant with 20ft+ ceilings. No ambiance. I think the decorator TRIED to soften it with some plants, and plush round sofa booths. Which might help some if it weren't my buddy and I eating. (A little too Intimate for two dudes.) There are no other choices other than a few 8tops (no 2 tops). The architect is to blame for this one. Flubbed it. No character, it might as well been the lobby for an insurance firm. (And I'm an architect) The menu is very paired down, which is fine. The portions were surprisingly small for a. The price b. Italian restaurant. (I understand this is not maggianos, I just expected a bit less "garnish" on everything and more substance) nothing was bad, but everything was just. Fine. Although the staff was very gracious and friendly, it took way too long to get our food. So much so that we asked for the check and wolfed it down so that we could make our show. (We allowed ourselves 1.5 hours, and we still were late to the venue around the corner. I think they can turn this around with better, more creative, more substantial choices that seem with the price. The character of the dining room could be fixed too, but that would require a design consultation.

A friend and I had dinner here before going to see a show at TPAC. I had the salmon, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. My friend had the eggplant which she said was excellent. We had the Amalfi lemon for dessert and it was a piece of art. The presentation was exquisite and it tasted divine. The lemon confit cream had just the right amount of tartness. I highly recommend!

My wife is in the Hospitality business, she owns two Luxury Travel companies based in Nashville, she is a native Nashville resident all of her life. So for her special 60th birthday I wanted to take her to a nice location and when I heard that Four Seasons had an "Italian" restaurant, I said the Four Seasons is a clean hotel chain and I used to stay in the New York Location. Upon arrival, Valet was great, Hostess was great, went to the bar and the drinks and the Bar Tender were attentive and fantastic. Went back to the hostess to see if our table was ready after our reservation time and she said yes, that they were waiting on us. Hostess asked if it was a special occasion and I said yes, "My wife's birthday", she said "Happy Birthday' and took us to a very comfortable booth with a nice view. Young girl came over with crackers, oil, olive dip. Then our server came over, was pleasant enough, she was attentive, unfortunately then we were presented with the menu... I was under the impression that it was geared towards Italian more than the menu let on... I feel this happens to most restaurants in Nashville, once they get here they feel they can't make a good , honest tasteful dish without adding Avocado or a special sauce or anything to try to be different, then it comes out like a desperate cook that came from Tuscany that starts making non-traditional Italian dishes... Most great chefs will keep certain dishes as simple as possible , but the difference is using great fresh ingredients and cooking everything 100% correct. True, I am spoiled because I am from NY and there it is hard to find a bad Italian restaurant except the fast food Italian restaurants like Olive Garden or Carrabba's or Macaroni Grill which most Italians would never eat in. With that said, bread was good, Caesar Salad was on point, I envisioned my Ravioli's to have Black Pepper, Ricotta, Pecorino cheese and the Rav's a bit larger. The Truffle Sauce was very good and I don't normally like Truffles.

A beautiful venue. We were early and were seated directly in front of the kitchen. Our waiter was perfect - solicitous, but not in the way. We split a radicchio salad and the branzino. Lovely fish. Interesting crackers and kalamata olive puree -great beginning. I commented on the kalamatas and they brought another serving. The valet parking my car was very welcoming, appearing to be sincerely glad to have us. When we returned from the symphony concert (leaving the car) he offered a bottle of water (in an aluminum! can (no plastic, yea!). Greatly appreciated. The only downside was at 6 PM the live music started. Way too loud and not very interesting. If we go back we will try a night with no live music.

Our experience at Mimo could not have been any better. The 3 of us found it exceptional in every possible way from the convenience of the car valet to the beautiful ambiance of Mimo to the incredible and knowledgeable service throughout our most fabulous dinner. We started with the oysters and hamachi followed by the spicy lobster pasta, the pasta bolognese and the branzino which all 3 dishes were divine! We are so looking forward to returning to Mimo for a date night whether sitting at your gorgeous bar or a cozy table. Thank you!
