Have been looking forward to having breakfast here for some time after reading the menu so on Saturday we met some friends here for brunch. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment... First thing you notice is the loud thumping music, sounds like you are in a night club instead of a restaurant having breakfast. Could barely hear the waiter, even he said he gets tired of the music, but the "manager" likes it.... Not cool, little kids do not need to be exposed to the over-the-top loud thumping music. The atmosphere of the restaurant is plain and pretty cramped. IHOP has a better atmosphere... Next the food. We ordered the honey butter biscuits; they were on the dry side and just fair. My wife ordered the Shimp-n-Grits, price at $26.45 and they were lousy. Tasteless is the word I would use to describe the dish. I ordered a white omelet; it was pretty good. A little on the small side but tasty enough. As a place that serves breakfast, be advised they do not offer any decaffeinated coffee of any kind. Not a big deal but almost all restaurants offer decaf for those of us who can't have caffeine. Basic stuff... In short, if you want a great breakfast skip this place, go to First Watch or Cracker Barrell where the food is always good, and prices are fair. Even iHop is better. Now the service. Our waiter was great, very friendly and very attenuative. He did a wonderful job. In summary, This Restuarant is nothing but an overrated, overpriced trendy place that you won't miss at all...

Good food. Clean place. Nice service. Way too loud so not relaxing at all for a Sunday morning brunch.

Seated within good time as soon as we arrived during busy brunch hour. Service was great and restaurant was clean. The music selection was the best part of the whole experience. Sorry, but this “Soul food” didn’t touch my soul at all.

We’ve dropped in a few times in the past and always seem to enjoy dinner than brunch which usually means we can get a seat quickly and not as many people. Well surprise, way more people than expected. (Have they found our secret)? Anyway, just a nice atmosphere and feels like a local cafe. If you have extra minutes it’s worth waiting for fresh cooked food. I keep trying something new and this time it was the two fish. Nicely golden outside and tender whitefish inside. We also had the salmon bites which were ok, but I’ve gotta say it out loud, please bring back the Catfish bites. My mouth was ready for those appetizer delights. Attentive service and just a sung on the drinks. It’s a limited bar and took awhile to get them served. (And why does no one drink wine)? Other than that delightful.

Great food and service. Biscuits are to die for! Grits are creamy and delicious. Fried chicken in the chicken & waffles entree was reportedly moist & flavorful (per my brunch companion). Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive, helping us to select two of the most popular entrees since this was our first visit. I have only two small complaints - the restaurant was cold enough that I needed to keep my coat around my shoulders to stay comfortable and the noise level was significant enough that it was difficult to hear each other across the table. I'll return on a warmer day and will try to pick a less popular time to try to avoid the extremely energetic noise level, but I will brave the cold & noise again if it is necessary to get another one of those biscuits! :)

Our experience was very good. The food was excellent and the ambiance was really nice. Service was a tad bit slow at the beginning as there wasn’t a full time hostess to seat diners and it took a while for a waitress to visit, but it was busy with a few large parties and the very sweet server kept apologizing for the wait. I can’t wait to go back to try a few more dishes and try out brunch. This has no bearing on my experience but it’s a note for the restaurant - I found the entry doors confusing - the vestibule opened up in both directions so your first inclination is to go to the side with the brightest lights - which is the bar and not the “dine in” side. There was a sign on the “dine in” side but it was really high on the door so I missed it. Several people went through the wrong door, causing increased wait times as someone had to acknowledge them and tell them to go to the other side. I also think a lack of hostess made things harder for the servers.
