   We’ve eaten there several times before and it was a completely different experience. The food was mediocre and the service was a bit slow. Large party next to us made it very loud in the patio area. We had to ask for bread while waiting for our meal which should have been brought when we sat down. Overall, just ok for dining out.

   We had a wonderful experience and enjoyed some delicious food! The staff was professional and the ambiance was absolutely amazing! Great birthday celebration!

   The food was okay, I expected more for the price. The service was slow, we waited almost 45 minutes for our drinks from the bar.

   The food was excellent. Service was good until we wanted to pay. Dessert wasn’t suggested by server and we probably would have indulged but it was too late by the time we had the hostess get our server to pay.

   Mesa Street Grill needs to restock the humidor and get the live entertainment back to the patio on weekends. I loved sitting on the patio with a cigar and a glass of scotch listening to the small band play. The menu used to have a better mix of reasonably priced and upscale entrees as well. It’s harder to casually dine when everything on the menu is upscale and high priced.

   6:00pm dinner reservation. The restaurant wasn't busy during this time. Once seated, we waited over 15 minutes for a server to finally approach us and ask if we had been helped. When we said no, she took our drink and appetizer order. Another 15 minutes passed before another server came to our table and apologized for the delayed service. She inquired about our drink order, and we explained we had already ordered drinks and appetizers from another waitress. She informed us that the other server was overwhelmed and she would be taking over our table. This was hard to believe since the restaurant wasn't busy, but we didn't argue and reordered our drinks and appetizers. The drinks and appetizers arrived and were good. We then ordered our main courses. Unfortunately, the steak arrived cooked medium-rare, though we had ordered it medium-well. We had to return it for further cooking. When the steak came back, it was still slightly undercooked (medium), but we kept it to avoid further delay, as we were hungry. Our server came by before we finished our main course, and we ordered another round of drinks and dessert. The drinks arrived promptly, but this would be the last time we saw our server. We sat with a table full of empty plates, and no server came by to clear them. This surprised us, as even at casual restaurants like Applebee's, servers typically clear empty plates during service. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, we finally flagged down another server for our check. This same server brought our desserts, and at that point, we simply requested boxes to go, as we were ready to leave. It was then that our original server reappeared with the bill and apologized, stating they had multiple orders ahead of ours. While the restaurant wasn't busy with dine-in customers, perhaps the take-out orders were overwhelming. Regardless, the experience was frustrating. Despite one complimentary dessert, the bill was still quite expensive. We paid and left. Our first visit, and last.

    Have been at Mesa Street Grill for several years and it continues to be a good place to go for lunch or dinner. Was not full of people but had some good food for both of us.
