Mercato BYOB is a festive and modern Italian eatery that lets you bring your own drinks. A simple and to the point menu focuses on quality over quantity and features items like ricotta raviolo and a spicy crab bucatini with squid ink pasta.

The artisan cheeses and house-cured meats at Mercato BYOB are perfect for sharing and are paired with sauces and condiments like agrodolce and pickled white grapes. A whole grilled artichoke appetizer will undoubtedly turn you into the vegetable's biggest fan. Heavier dishes, like the Grilled Hanger Steak with yukon gold potato wedge, are equally impressive. Great experience during restaurant week! The whipped feta, arancini, and meatballs were amazing. We all loved our main course (chicken parm, short rib pasta, and gnocchi). The dessert was amazing! Tiramisu and cannoli, delish! Service was AMAZING, our waitress was wonderful.

Limited menu due to restaurant week in Philly but the food was delicious, a great value, and very much like the trattorias that we frequented in our trips to Italy.

Great evening at Mercato - first time back in a while. Pasta dishes were superb; grilled Caesar is top rate. Meatball app was very good - and substantive. First time seeing artichokes whole - peel off leaves - on menu. A bit surprised, but good. Eggplant tower was a little disappointing - skin was tough. Service was excellent; we expected the noise level, as it's small and busy - but seated next to the kitchen gave us a little more banging pots and pans. :-) Glad to be back - will return for sure.

Mercato has a charming ambience and cozy, intimate vibe. The waitstaff are friendly, welcoming and non-obtrusive. The food is delicious, a small menu with dishes clearly prepared with care and expertise. There are a range of interesting menu choices even though the menu is small. Lovely experience!

Hidden gem in the heart of the city. The place was small and well decorated. Food was exceptional, and nice selection from the menu and specials, would definitely recommend for people who are looking for a nice Italian restaurant!

One word says it all - tremendous! The menu and offerings were outstanding to the point that it was almost impossible to choose. The lobster bisque was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The grilled octopus salad and oso bucco that followed were equally as good. MJ’s meal was likewise outstanding. The service was great and there was great energy in the room. It is cramped quarters but the noise level allows for conversations as well as interaction amongst tables. A great dinner that made for a wonderful evening.
