The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

    Justin was a fabulous guide through the menu choices and a great ambassador for the international sources and variety of the ingredients! Wonderful flavors. Beautifully presented. A great experience!

    Food good and service efficient. Noise level unacceptably high. Conversation impossible without shouting. No attention paid during design phase to noise abatement, with lots of hard reflective surfaces and insufficient soft furnishing. The college-dining-hall level of noise detracts from the sophistication of the food and degrades the dining experience. Will not return to eat inside due to unacceptable ambiance.

    The food was exceptional. The carrots are a must have! We weren’t too hot about the crispy potatoes but overall an amazing dining experience. The team was excellent as well (shout out to Tom) and made our anniversary special.
