Food was ok, you get a 2nd round (only of the steak and fries) after you finish your plate. The gravy was very gritty and fries were cold the second round. The steak was very thin and small in my opinion, it’s great they give you a “second round”, but I’d rather a good piece of steak. Everything else was ok. They also didn’t have prices on the cocktail menu.

Calling the noise level “energetic” is misleading. Most of the music was nice but it was so loud that it was very unpleasant, couldn’t carry on a conversation. They were nice and turned it down a bit after we asked but it was still too loud. Instead of complementing the atmosphere and creating a pleasant ambiance, it was overpowering and highly unpleasant. The type of music and sound intensity belong in a high energy dancing club not a restaurant. The menu has a price fix option only with three items (two really)-the mixed green salad, which was good but a bit too salty and had too much balsamic vinaigrette, the leaves of the mesclun salad were getting wilted under the weight of the dressing, followed by a small plate of steak frites, frites were good, the steak was a bit tough and there was no option of a different better meat cut, and third course was an identical plate with the second plate of the steak frites which we took home. Gravy was o.k. but very basic. Our waiter was very nice. Red wine was o.k., the hibiscus Margarita way too sweet and the Patron Silver tequila not available hence the drink was of a different quality, but all-in-all it was drinkable. A one time experience, not too bad. We will not return there, it’s not our type of place and food.

The food was delicious. The service was decent—our waiters were attentive but noticeably slow. Considering it was opening week, it's understandable that they are still getting familiar with the restaurant's operations. The prices felt a bit high for the type of establishment, but the quality of the food and the overall concept were good. I’m looking forward to coming back and giving it another chance.

Great service, not too busy. Good value on food and they serve 2nds tableside. Gravy is superb, ask for some tableside. Open kitchen, nice atmosphere in a good size dining room, could be loud when full but overall nice experience. Will definitely go back.

Opening night (12/16/24) was excellent. The host/hostess were welcoming and friendly- asking guests how they heard about the place and if they were local, etc. The menu is simple- $34.95 for steak (cooked to order) plus yummy rustic bread, salad and shoestring French fries. Oh- and some amazing secret sauce on the steak. Nice selection of wines- I enjoyed a cab. I was about half finished with my (rare) steak and a server stopped by and filled my plate with more steak and fries (complimentary second serving is standard). I knew there would be the need for a to-go box. I eyed the desserts at the next table- huge slices of chocolate and carrot cake. When I finished my steak, I struck up a conversation with the couple at the next table. They also couldn't decide on dessert. They ordered the carrot cake and I ordered chocolate cake- we asked for a few extra plates and shared so we could all try both. Maybe a bit unusual to share desserts with another table but it worked for us and the servers were very accommodating. Both cakes were amazing. I loved the limited menu- it makes the entire experience efficient. I was impressed with how smoothly everything went despite new staff and it being day 1. Chatted with several employees and everyone was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back. Free surface and garage parking at Arsenal Yards.
