   It’s a shame really we had such high hopes for this dinner as we’ve both been before & loved it but tonight it was a complete disappointment! The appetisers were better than the mains which is sad as the steak & meat was supposed to be the star of the show! Our steak was room temperature, barely hot & very tough & chewy was not cooked medium rare as requested & had absolutely no flavour not even the taste of salt or pepper! We left the mains barely touched & paid our bill & left as we were too dissatisfied to want to stay & continue spending money on any more dessert or drinks

   This restaurant is a MUST-VISIT whether you’re Melbourne based or travelling from elsewhere. It was our first time dining by the bar at a restaurant and it was awesome to get an an up-close experience with the bartenders and chef’s. Staff were amazing and friendly!

   Our experience at Meatmaiden was one of perfection, the food and ambience were outstanding but rhe overall experience was topped off by our waiter Logan McBride, who was not only extremely knowledgeable about the menu and drinks list but looked after us in a friendly and efficient manner, he made us feel welcome and in no way could have performed his job better, well done Meatmaiden for employing staff who care

   It was fabulous. Sat at the bar right by the kitchen was very entertaining. Rolled back to hotel very full. The place is amazing. The guy who was head cheffing did a fab job and front of house guy was awesome.

   Service was good and when we walked in, we got asked not even 2 mins after we sat down what we want to order. Then we had to wait like 15mins until we could alert a staff member we want to order. Once we ordered, we had to wait just over 30mins for our food to be ready, that included the starters food. The staff were really nice when we asked to check up on it but a bit of a wait. The steak was excellent, melted in my mouth. But for the price of the steak, very overpriced for what it was and how small it was, but it was delicious though. But the chips (starters) were a let down. Not only should’ve it come before dinner and we waited over 30mins for it, half were burnt and it tasted average. I’ve had better chips from cheaper restaurants. The atmosphere was pretty good. A little loud but the set up is awesome. It is a dark restaurant which does add to the atmosphere, but the lighting could be a bit brighter. I was a left a bit disappointed for my experience, I was expecting more for the money I paid

   Hi Dan. We chatted in the venue, I was the one to check on your steaks, but your other issues weren’t raised at the time. If you had, we would have helped make your experience a more enjoyable one. In terms of the cost of our steaks, they are very fairly priced for the premium cuts we offer.    We went to Meatmaiden for dinner and the whole experience was incredible. From the moment we walked in the door Lillian was so friendly and her attention to detail with my allergies was greatly appreciated. Our server Logan was very attentive, gave us great recommendations for both food and drinks and made our dining experience a memorable one! The head chef Jesse and all other staff that made our food were amazing! Thank you to all the other staff who attended our table and I apologise for not getting your names, the service was fantastic from everyone! Everything about our dining experience was perfection! Thank you again to the wonderful Meatmaiden team for giving us a wonderful night we will remember.

   Brilliant restaurant. The burnt ends, scallop and bacon kebabs and squid were amazing starters. The steaks then topped off the meal - cooked to perfection and the sauces complimented very well. Nick our waiter was approachable and had great humour. Thoroughly recommend.
