I’d like to note this is only a reflection of the Thanksgiving day service. I can’t comment on regular days. This restaurant struggles with keeping up with the crowds and would probably benefit with limiting the crowd to improve service. I personally will not go back. Their food is offered buffet style. They struggled with keeping plates on for the buffet. Of the three plates on the table, mine was filthy. Then the buffet selection is limited. They offer turkey, salmon, ham, with a carving station. The sides are not replenished fast enough but you can make a plate. The desserts are limited. Getting water and beverages refilled was a struggle. They missed out on profit because no one asked if you wanted another round of cocktails. I observed only one floor manager when it appears there should have been three as the busboys struggled to replenish napkins/ silverware. We had to get up and ask them for silverware. Same with trying to get our check. They are either understaffed or undertrained. This is not a luxury experience. The place looks great but it’s not great service. But it is affordable and you can see you get exactly what you paid for. Nothing impressive.

We have been to McLoones for Thanksgiving, Easter and Mother’s Day brunch for many years now. Usually food and service are fantastic. However this year we were all severely disappointed in both. The quality of the food was subpar, the same selection as last year and just not good. The servers are usually very attentive and check in regularly to see of anything is needed. But our server this year was just not that good. Even going as far to ask if we needed our check the moment we sat down with some dessert. Not asking if we wanted tea, coffee or anything else. Once again lackluster meal and service. Which is a shame because we have always referred all of our friends to eat here for Thanksgiving, Easter or Mothers Day.

Nice open and spacious restaurant. Unfortunately, the table nearby had a very noisy family with screaming adults and children. Looks like it would be lovely to visit during warm weather when outdoor dining is possible. Nice selection of well-made specialty cocktails. Beer selection is limited, though. Food was good, but not great. My crabcake sandwich seemed a little undercooked.

McLoone’s has lost its edge. It began when we sat down in the mostly empty dining room. The hostess acknowledged that it was our anniversary as I specified when making the reservation, yet sat us at a table with a view of a wood wall when there were other tables with views available. There were several tables towards the fireplace and in center of the dining room that would have been much better (again, the place was practically empty at 7pm on a Friday night). Once I spoke to a lovely waitress about moving tables and we relocated to one with an actual window view, a different waiter came to serve us. He was pleasant enough and went over the specials for the evening. I opted for water whereas my partner decided to order wine. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer that, once it arrived, had very little sprouts and mostly a pumpkin seed/craisins/sweet potato mix on a plate that was drizzled with balsamic-type of spread and looked messy - the brussel sprouts had no seasoning whatsoever and you had to rub the sprouts in the little balsamic spread to get some type of taste to them. The raisin/craisins were too sweet and the presentation was lackluster. I had to ask the waiter for a water refill several times throughout the evening which was disappointing when other waiters were constantly refilling their tables’ water glasses. Once my dinner arrived (I ordered the burger they call “Braveheart”), the disappointment continued. The presentation was poor. My burger looked like it slid towards the edge of the plate while the basket of fries appeared to be the only highlight since they were still hot and had good seasoning on them. The burger itself was a good size, but was very bland; the “cheddar” cheese on it looked like McLoone’s was going through a cheese famine. The two slices of cheese looked like it was one slice cut in half and was so thin I might as well ordered a plain hamburger. The noise level was too high as were the prices for a poor dinner experience.

I love this venue but the service is horrendous. I had to ask for a waiter after 15 minutes at the table (no one came over with water or to take our order). Finally water was provided and we waited another 5 mins for the waiter. We put in apps and drinks. Apps came first. Then the bar drinks arrived 5 minutes later with 2 of them wrong (had asked for vodka instead of tequila in one of the drinks on the cocktail menu). We couldn’t find our waiter, I had to bring the drinks to the bar. They remade them in the same glasses!!! Meanwhile both myself and the other person had taken sips of out of the original glasses and didn’t know which was which. The 2 children at the table still didn’t have their lemonade and cola delivered. so I reordered that. By the time the revised drinks were made, then the lemonade and cola got to the table so they had 2 drinks each. Our waiter reappeared and took our entree orders (all menus still piled up on table). Entrees arrives timely but all appetizers were still on table and not cleaned off. We had to ask them to take the appetizers before putting down our entrees. The salad I ordered without cheese had cheese and I asked for blackened shrimp which was not blackened. The food was decent and the space and location is great. Unfortunately in the 15+ years it’s been opened, they still can’t get their service together. This was a 2:30pm lunch and the restaurant was not at full capacity.

Busy day with weddings going on so setting up other tables, etc. The staff was very professional but seemed distracted with so many things to manage in different parts of the restaurant indoors and outdoors.
