   First time here, my overall experience was underwhelming. The price point for the food does not add up to the taste. The Caesar salad as anyone will know should come with romaine lettuce, the lettuce provided was very bitter to say the least, I did not enjoy it. I informed the waitress and she seemed like she could care less. The scallop pasta tasted like macaroni and cheese, I was highly disappointed. I really wanted to be excited about this new steakhouse and my experience was quite blah. I don’t think I will be returning.

   Pre dinner drinks at bar were great and bar tenders fantastic...but it was downhill after that. Had reservations for downstairs but we were seated upstairs instead. Server was poor. Added flat water to sparkling water glasses that were not empty. Didn't take orders in any organized fashion. Three times food for other tables were misdelivered to our table. Initial drinks took 25 minutes to arrive. Has potential, but good food was hampered by disorganized service.

   This restaurant has been only to the public and you should know that “There’s a New Kid in Town” when it comes to dining and competition. You now have a great steakhouse that will open eyes in time. Located in the old Masonic Temple on Hancock St. in Quincy, Mason’s brings a nice sophistication to the area. Pricey but show me a steakhouse that isn’t today. The dining room on the first floor is open to both the bar area and open kitchen. The noise level is lively and it might help to incorporate a sound buffer between the bar area and the diners to reduce the energetic sound while dining and for conversation. I can’t say enough about the service and the food. Started w/ hot poppyseed rolls and butter. Fabulous and free. Not one for paying for bread service. The steaks served this evening were better than steaks I’ve had at some of the best restaurants in Boston and the Seaport. Both quality and flavor were outstanding with their ribeyes and sirloins. They offer some of the typical sides but where they shine is with their other entrees offered that you don’t typically see on a menu such as the Veal Sirloin Schnitzel w/ a mustard spaetzle, or the garlic risotto with buttered escargots. Both hot and cold appetizers ranged from steak carpaccio to a wild Spanish octopus. The pastry chef Robert Gonzales is a master to his craft. Some incredibly inventive desserts such as a Niveaux de Chocolate ( chocolate mouse w/ cherry caviar and hazelnut richer crunch, earl grey pavlova, white chocolate panda cotta w/ gooseberry and mandarin creamsicle. Things to consider: tablecloths for tables, additional creative appetizers (steak tartare) a soup or two, maybe a pate or two. Full cocktails. Service was spot on. A shout out to Shane who was very attentive without being obtrusive. Also to Ryan and Cody for making the evening most enjoyable. Wd will be back!

   Our dining experience at Masons was exceptional from start to finish. The room is beautiful and comfortable. The tables are spaced so that diners have plenty of space. Servers are well versed in the menu. They explain dishes and ingredients. Cocktails were made with care and were delicious. The bar area is warm and a great spot to have a drink and app. Timing of the courses was not rushed. We tried 4 appetizers. The prawns were our favorite but we enjoyed the salads, shrimp cocktail and mushroom rillette. The bread was incredible. Even the butter was special. We ordered 4 steaks. Each cooked to the perfect temperature. The carrots, mashed potatoes and asparagus were our favorite sides. The greens missed the mark and french fries were good but not extraordinary. Dessets included the selection of ice creams. Each of the 3 choices was so smooth, creamy and delicious. The chocolate mousse with hazelnuts was so flavorful and light. Coffees were exceptional as well. The owner, Jimmy came by our table to check on us. He was cordial and sought our impressions. That is unheard of today. Service has been lacking recently in restaurants. That is not the case at Masons. It was a dining experience with great environment, service and food. So happy we chose Masons to celebrate our son’s birthday. This fact was also not forgotten by staff. Our server greeted him with a happy birthday when we were seated. He also added a candle on his dessert. Great experience. You don’t have to drive to Boston to experience a first class steak house anymore. Thank you Masons.

   I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Masons. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion. The desserts were magical!

   A brilliant location for people who live on the South Shore of Massachusetts that want a great steakhouse dining experience but don’t want to go into Boston to get it. This restaurant has two floors. The first floor is a very open concept where you can see the kitchen and then a second level that has separate rooms for a more intimate dining experience. We went for the first time as of this review for my wife’s birthday and the service was amazing, Bridget was our server and she was spectacular and engaged in making our experience worth the time we were there. The food was good and the drinks were good as well. The issues that some may have is the lack of parking, however, they do offer free valet parking at the lot across the street from the restaurant. There is also street parking available if you can find a spot. The pricing on the non Waygu steaks were a little high, but to be expected at this type of steakhouse. The pour on my scotch was a little light but my wife had a good pour in her wine. Overall we really enjoyed it. Well worth a try if you enjoy a good high end steakhouse experience. It is a former Free Masons Lodge and thus the name Masons.

   This restaurant has only been open for five weeks and you would never know it. from the start the valet professional courteous and efficient. the hostess friendly accommodating as I changed our table last minute. The manager Eric amazing called me before our reservations to go over gluten free options for one of our diners. The waiter Xavier could not have been any nicer, professional, helped us with all of our meals from starters to dessert, again accommodated our gluten free diner with a smashing choice of desserts, even gave all in the party a separate spoon for us to try and not to contaminate his dessert. Cody the sommelier was very knowledgeable on all the wines and made two great choices for the party. Again, this restaurant ran like a well-oiled machine you would never know it was new. An added touch was sorbet in between courses as they felt we had so many different tastes for appetizers. onto the meals, there was six in our party that all ordered something different, there was not a piece of meat, veal, rabbit or risotto left over. The sides that are ala carte also amazing, carrots, asparagus mashed potato all fresh and plenty to share. Desserts made in house by the pastry chef OMG!! absolutely to die for. This will NOT be our last time to Masons please try you will not be disappointed

   My finance and I just got back from spending our 2 year anniversary dinner at Masons and we both agreed that it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve EVER had! From the moment we walked in and the host said “I see you’re celebrating an anniversary, so go ahead and pick whichever table you’d like - we want tonight to be special”, the night was absolutely flawless. Meal highlights were the jumbo prawns appetizer, a perfectly cooked ribeye, two exquisite desserts, and my personal shining star - the bolognese with homemade papardelle pasta. At the end of the meal we were treated to complimentary celebratory champagne toasts. We were so impressed that we even inquired about hosting our wedding rehearsal dinner here, and were given an impromptu tour of the upstairs private event rooms. Absolute 11/10 across the board, and can’t wait to come back!
