   Based on other reviews, we came to Masa Mama expecting to be blown away by the food. Sadly, this was not the case - while everything was fine, our party agreed the food was nothing to rave about. We tried the calamari (sesame aioli was quite overpowering, but the calamari was enjoyable - very tender), birria taco, Korean fish taco, chicken tinga and al pastor tacos. The Korean fish tacos were yummy, with a nice blend of sweet and mild spice from gochujang sauce. Birria is often greasy, but this was a little excessive and ended up bothering our stomachs. The service and atmosphere were pleasant, but I won't be in a rush to return because of the average food.

   The guac, quesabirria taco and the ceviche are probably the best in Calgary for Mexican.

   The vibe and ambience was amazing! it was very chill and mellow, and felt quite cozy as well. the service was great, and the food was also good! i would recommend the korean fish taco and the suadero taco! definitely a place you should check out :D

   Fantastic food, some really awesome food, and I eat a lot of tacos from many places. Lots of seniors dining here. They kill the vibe a bit but also make me feel younger in comparison.

   The food and drinks are simply outstanding. There’s a good variety of tacos and quite a bit of creativity infused in every food item, same goes for cocktails. In the past few times I’ve visited the restaurant, the servers were inattentive, but today was exceptional. Our female server was actively checking on us and made sure we had everything we needed.

    Masa Mama was an exciting night out, with excellent cocktails - especially the margaritas, and delicious food. We sat at the bar, so were able to have a comfortable conversation, but it is definitely on the louder side. We left very full, but very happy. We will be back for more Tamarind Margaritas and incredible tacos.
