   Disappointing Experience – Overpriced & Rude Service I had high hopes as usually MoL is a great experience, but unfortunately, I was a letdown. The portion sizes for the mains were shockingly small for the price, and the food itself was just average—nothing special or worth the cost. Service was another issue. Our waiter was rude and seemed rushed, making us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. There was no warmth or effort to make the experience enjoyable. Overall, definitely not worth the money. There are plenty of other restaurants offering better food, better service, and better value. Wouldn’t return.

   THE BEST chicken schnitzel ! all the food is great and service is fast. Can be noisy depending on when you go. A go to place for me.

   Good vibes, great old building, wait staff were attentive and friendly. My meal was tiny though, miniscule - I had the barramundi ($34), I swear it had been cut in half. It was quite embarrassing when it arrived, as my dining companions each had sizeable meals. We all sat there a little unsure whether to say something, but in the Aussie way ended up not making a fuss (just going home dissatisfied). To the manager/chef - that's a really awkward situation to impose on your customers. People go to a pub expecting pub grub. Even if it's fancy pub grub, I don't want to be served up something that looks like a sample plate. Footnote: it tasted good. Really good. I just wish I'd had more bites available to enjoy.

   Delicious food, well executed and a solid variety. Lovely staff. It was a hot day so the dining room was extremely warm, making it rather uncomfortable for guests.

    A week of dining in Fitzroy and the this was my favourite.. Lovely atmosphere, awesome staff and god those potato cakes!!
