Mari Vanna NYC is the 5th restaurant in a magical story of a woman’s love for food, friends, and hospitality turned into an international franchise. Nestled in the quiet of 20th st in the heart of Flatiron, the quaint eatery has been a neighborhood staple for 14 years.

It is filled with antique furniture, lace drapery, cozy armchairs, Soviet nick-nacks, crystal chandeliers, and floral china. Our team will treat you with a menu full of home-style dishes from Russian, Ukrainian,and Georgian cuisines, accompanied by house-infused flavored vodkas and signature cocktails.

Every item we ordered was delicious and abundant: the pumpkin salad, potato/onion dumplings, zucchini pancakes, risotto with butterfish, chicken kiev, caviar/blini with cured salmon, Napolean cake (it was not a slice as we expected but actually a small cake that could easily feed four people). The chili infused vodkas were amazing. Service was excellent, and the piece-de-resistance is the incredibly beautiful and charming environment of the restaurant, real eye-candy.

Our dinner exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was cozy, feeling like we were in someones living room. The service was attentive and kind. The dishes we ordered were simply divine. The bread was delicious too, as were all the dishes shared. The herring was my favorite but the dumlings, the duck, the lamb shank were also outstanding. The desserts were a glorious ending to our meal. The infused vodkas we drank were spectacular.

Just the best. Everything incredible. Service was outstanding, cocktails were perfect and the food was the best Russian cuisine I’ve ever had (hopefully my Russian wife isn’t reading this).

We had a great experience at this restaurant. Even though our table wasn’t ready by the time of our reservation and we had to wait for additional 15 min, our hostess Yana was very sweet and she totally made up for it. Our server Karina was attentive and nice also, the food was delicious and the drinks were outstanding. Thank you again!

An absolutely wonderful and unique experience. The ambience is spectacular and the chandeliers in the dining room are incredible. For starters, the Cured Herring is outstanding and so is the King Crab Oliver salad. The Pan-Seared Salmon was cooked to perfection and the spinach cream sauce it comes with is the most delicious and rich sauce I’ve ever tasted. Seriously. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable dining experience you simply must try Mari Vanna! I live in New Orleans and know a thing or two about fine dining and decadent food.
