   Great food with incredible service, a busy night as it was bonfire night in Rue but this added to the atmosphere and didn’t affect the service or food in anyway, it was all perfect , thank you

   Unfortunately, our family visit to this establishment was nothing short of the worst meal ever experienced when dining out. What should have been a meal to remember for the right reasons was the polar opposite. The whole experience from service to kitchen was sub-par. Our table was booked for 6 pm. We were asked for our drink selection 25 min after we were seated. We were not asked again, so no second drinks. Once ordered the starters took over 1 hour to arrive at the table. Having finished our starters the main courses arrived another 55min later. Only two out of five mains were presentable as meals. Lamb cutlets should come with a medallion of meat. These were not lamb cutlets they looked like something you would serve your dog. At no time were we asked if our meals were ok by the staff. For the price of £170.00 Marco's is simply not worth a visit. MY ADVICE IS TO BOOK ELSEWHERE - OR GET A KEBAB- At least it will be edible.

   Lovely spot for dinner in Rye, excellent service even on Rye Fawkes night. Amazing cocktails. Friendly and attentive staff.

   I dont often take the time to write a complaint in the knowledge of how hard it is to survive as a restaurant yet today was that bad. Now I understand why it was the only place in Rye that I could reserve a table during Bonfire night. If I wasn’t so hungry after waiting so long, I wouldn’t have eaten here and wasted the calories. My body hated me for it afterward. This place is a disaster—an identity crisis in restaurant form. The food was horrific. The terrible tacos/terrible gyros, and whatever fusion nonsense they were trying didn’t taste like anything it take talent to make food that tasteless. It was just sad and made me sad. The whole experience was a nightmare. We came to celebrate a birthday, and instead of making it special, they made it harder every step of the way. The staff refused to let us sit together, even though there were larger tables open. Orders were forgotten but we were still charged. So many things we tried to order were not available. It felt like bad cafeteria food that was overpriced and cheap, and it left everyone with a stomach ache. Honestly, we all agreed that the ingredients were so bad, we should have just gone to a food truck or booked any other place in Rye months in advance. It was that bad. This was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time, and it made me realize how lucky I’ve been to have had so much good food in my life. Stay far, far away from this place. It’s not worth the time, money, or disappointment Rye is full of good restaurant’s just book them in advance.

   We found Marcos spontaneously after wondering onto Rye high street looking for somewhere to have a our first date night! The atmosphere and set up was lovely. They were busy but very accommodating considering we hadn’t booked! We have since returned as the food, service & wine had us won over on the first visit!

   Went for wedding anniversary, had hummus and pulled brisket and the garlic dish for starters both of which were tasty, could have done with more pitta. Mains had the lamb kebabs which were perfect and the gyros taco, which would definitely have to have again. Ordered chips to go with kebab as doesn't come with rice, which were well seasoned. Staff were lovely, but lacked a bit of atmosphere as a bit empty but enjoyed the setting. Nice cocktails. Would return. Shame you can only book by giving credit card details as was reluctant to hand over details but really wanted to go there, maybe reason for being quiet or it is generally not busy for Sunday lunch.
