   Over all dinner was really good. A few good takeaways and some of my personal input. They offered gluten free pasta which is what drew us to the place. The bread was delicious and both the pasta dishes we had were very good! The gluten free chocolate cake was delicious! But the lighting where we sat was decent at best. I had to turn on my phone light to read the menu. The salad was underdressed and lacked salt and pepper other than that it was good! The Bolognese was tasty just watery! I didn’t like the sauce on the cake though, just a personal preference! The cake was sweet enough already. Service was excellent! Would definitely go back and recommend to friends traveling to Whitefish, MT.

   Our server was very good, but food wasn’t to their normal standards. Ate barely anything I ordered and paid quite a bit for it. Disappointing. I’ve ate there at least 30 times and won’t be back for quite sometime after this.

   Casey was our waiter and he did an amazing job. We had sausage portobello mushrooms, Cesar salad, linguine and meatballs, fettuccine and tiramisu. All were fantastic and highly recommend!

   We have visited Mambo for almost 6 years. Our son even worked here for almost a year. Tonight’s experience left us quite dissapointed. Mambo is one of those feel good restaurants we recommend to everyone that visits us. Tonight’s experience was completely out of character for the restaurant. Sauces were watered down. The Penne ala vodka that our daughter loves, she refused to eat. Even the replaced dish failed to meet anywhere near the prior standards. My wife and I tried the special ravioli that the waiter highly recommended…and it was awful. The flavor profile totally missed the mark. The dishes our other two guests had were ok, but not to the normal standards we have come to expect. The waiter was prompt, and took our feedback..invoked the manager that also listened to our feedback, enthusiastically. She said they took the feedback seriously…they also made a few amendments to the bill, which was appreciated. That all said…I’m concerned that this restaurant has fallen significantly in terms of quality. We may return as there are limited dining options here in whitefish…but I will do so with much greater hesitation.

   As always, the food and service was awesome. Had an issue with the first table but it was dealt with immediately. Every restaurant has issues but it is how you deal with it that sets you apart. Our thanks to the staff and GM for another memorable evening.

    Food was excellent, we are down from canada, and we loved Ash! She’s so friendly and informative. Great night all around. One small criticism, just put a few more tomato’s on the brucetta and a bit less cheese. Will be back.
